Baby's temp showing at 33.6

DS is just coming up to 6 months, he had a nap this morning from 10-12 which is unheard of, we then had a bottle at 12 ish and when I put him down to play he was moaning so I picked him up at which point he started acting tired again.

I thought he felt a little warm on his head so decided to test his temp, I took it with 2 different ear thermometers and one showed 34.1 and the other 33.6. He normally runs at about 35.8 on these thermometers.

I'm not sure if it's something I should be worrying about, other then being cranky and sleepy he seems fine. Should I be worrying about this ? Tia

I spoke to the doctor and they won't even entertain it being anything else until he has a negative corona virus test, we have a home test coming today which I will send straight back off .

He has had plenty of wet and dirty nappies and is eating and drinking well.

Luckily he hasn't had another low or high temperature episode but he is now snotty and coughing slightly but I think that's post nasal drip as he only coughs when awake.

I'm dreading trying to do this test though.
