Don't know how to get through tomorrow

Several months ago my lovely partner turned yellow and, long story short, on Friday we were told he has cancer. Tomorrow we go to the hospital to find out what the plan is. We know that the cancer is in his pancreas (or bile duct, his CNS said pancreas but Macmillan said he'd been referred with bile duct cancer). I know the long term prognosis is poor and I am shit scared. How do we face tomorrow?

Hi I too remember your earlier post & I have been there, my DH was not a candidate for the Whipple so as scary as everything is & it is a huge operation, that is positive news.
You did the right thing writing down your questions as it’s hard to take everything in.
Did you get his PIP sorted?
Flowers & best wishes to you both

Hi @bloodywhitecat, there’s a support thread with a few of us in a similar boat over on life limiting illnesses on the health board called Still the storm.

Sending you a shoulder bump in solidarity x

Thinking of you.
I hope the op is soon.

Ah @bloodywhitecat I'm so sorry to read this update. You must just be reeling.

Sending strength and love to you, and know that we will be here with you on this journey.

I really feel for you. I was where you are two years ago (my daughter, different cancer) with a similar prognosis and stats. Breathe, cry, ask questions, keep your oncology nurse on speed dial (a good nurse is invaluable). My daughter's op went as well as it could and I try to keep positive. I do remember our bipopsy appoint though - one of the worst days of my life. You will get through this - an hour at a time if necessary x

I'm so sorry OP Flowers

So sorry to hear this news. Hope you're guided well through the process and that communication is good from the doctors so that you have less questions floating around in your heads. How is you DH coping with the news?
