.. where do you buy your clothes? What brands?

I often end up feeling like maybe I'm looking too old for my age , then go the opposite and feel like I'm trying too hard to look youngHmm

In the last year the clothes I got were from topshop, asos, nasty gal (ignore the awful name it's great prefer it to asos as I think that gone down hill recently) dancing leopard, primark. If had some more money atm I'd do some online shops at hennes, zara, silk fred, Lucy and yak, never fully dressed and olive. Have never bought from the last three mind but their stuff looks lovely.

TootaLaFruit · 10/09/2020 17:06

Cos
All Saints
Sweaty Betty
Mother of Pearl
Ganni
Shrimps

Phrowzunn · 10/09/2020 17:07

I’m 32 and post two DC I find the more ‘mature’ brands suit my shape better. Like Marks and Spencer (they do great jeggings which come right up over my ‘mum tum’ and tops that aren’t too tight in that area). I never would have thought to buy from them pre-DC though, regardless of age. I still get the odd thing from New Look though and I like Sainsbury’s or sometimes Asda stuff too. Karen Millen / Coast / Oasis / Warehouse for nice dresses.

Wheneverwhereve · 10/09/2020 17:12

Next, Joules and Very. Used to go to Oasis and Debenhams a lot but find debenhams doesn’t have a lot now (still have a look though) and Oasis significantly reduced choice since it went in to administration. Love the cardigans from GAP too for work, so simple but wash well. Have recently bought a few bits from Monsoon but I’m still not sure about Monsoon on the whole.

DerelictWreck · 10/09/2020 17:14

Topshop, Hush, John Lewis, Marks and Spencers, New Look, Oliver Bonas, Warehouse, Fatface, Uniqlo

Depends what I need!

CuppaZa · 10/09/2020 17:17
  1. I shop at ASOS, Zara, H&M, PLT and Misguided mainly.
EarlGreywithLemon · 10/09/2020 17:19

Work, also the Fold (preferably in the sale). Otherwise, Reiss, Comptoir des Cotonniers, Whistles, Maje, Uniqlo for knitwear, and Gap for jeans. I bought some dresses in Whistles a several years ago that I still live in in the summer.

Hush, Boden, Mint Velvet, John Lewis (I love the Somerset by Alice Temperley line).

chunkyrun · 10/09/2020 17:28

Charity shops, depop, vinted, eBay and carboots. I care about sustainability and try to avoid fast fashion as much as possible

SabrinaSalem · 10/09/2020 17:31

I often pick up new or barely-worn things from brands I like on Ebay. Oasis and Warehouse were the best for this before they went into administraton. Oasis is my go-to for T shirts and dresses on Ebay because the sizing is consistent. Not sure how long the brand will last now, the new website looks very tired and sad.

H&M, Gap, Joules, Next, Uniqlo... I've had some nice knitwear from Fat Face and White Stuff (another one that's good for Ebay). I like browsing in Oliver Bonas and Mint Velvet but haven't bought anything from there for years!

mrsnorrismeow · 10/09/2020 17:32

I'm 32 and most of my clothes are from Next, Hush, H&M and Lucy and Yak for dungarees.

GameSetMatch · 10/09/2020 17:51

Mostly from Next, a few bits from Joules and Principles too, I’m a SAHM so just need ordinary clothes nothing fancy or named or very expensive that would be wasted on me.

BumholeJ · 10/09/2020 17:59

Lots of Hobbs, Jigsaw, Reiss, Vince, Equipment, vintage items found online (eBay usually) and both TKMaxx and The OUTNET are pretty good for designer bargains.

Samiad85 · 10/09/2020 18:05

Asos, new look, next mainly.

GlennRheeismyfavourite · 10/09/2020 18:25

Oasis, Hobbs, jigsaw (occasionally), phase 8, Sainsbury's, Boden, joules, H&M. But I'm 37 and think I dress in quite a mumsy way for my age!!

Lots of good ideas💡

I've just rediscovered Warehouse and really like most of their stuff. Also ASOS, Mango and Topshop for jeans.
