What do you have that money can't buy?

Coming to terms with the fact that im probably never going to be a gazillionaire 🤣🤣 But I do feel lucky in lots of ways.

You know that lush feeling you get just before you fall asleep and you are so cosy and comfy? I was chatting to a friend saying that it didn't matter how well off you were that feeling would be the same!

So with that in mind, what experience or things do you do/have that money has no relevance to?

Self esteem & self confidence, a job I love, good friends & opportunities to volunteer in projects that interest me.

Genuine lovely friendships. I imagine being loaded may make you question whether friendships are genuine.

The slight chill in the air now that autumn is coming - I love our seasons and going for walks taking all of the changes in

My own perfume, designed especially for me.

Okay, you probably can buy this, but I was given it as a gift by a perfume house.

Morals 😜
2 happy, healthy children.
A man that loves me and is willing to put up with me no matter what!

A husband who genuinely makes me feel loved.
3 children who I bloody adore.
The best cat in the world.
Parents, sister and Nan who I would die for and who would do the same for me.

The moments when I watch those I love interact with my children with such love and wonder.

I have learned to live alongside my medical condition, brought on by a medical accident and am now (4 yrs on) happily adjusted to my new lifestyle.

Bittersweet but I got to hold both my parents hands as they passed. And that’s a special thing in this day and age.

Robust mental health. My main worry in life is the covid pandemic, but it’s not keeping me awake at night. As a 50+ asthmatic, I'm obviously concerned and I’m being extremely careful, but that is a proportionate & rational approach for someone in my position.

Obviously, being financially comfortable helps with this, but plenty of people who are far richer than I will ever be struggle with mental health problems.

A really loyal circle of girlfriends who in the last few months have rallied round and put me back together again after a breakdown. Endless nights of them cooking dinner for me and my children. Cleaning my house. Loaning me money for legal fees. I am eternally greatful. No amount of money can buy that.

Aaaaaaannnnnddddd now I'm crying 😢!!!

Bourbonbiccy · 08/09/2020 21:29

That lovely feeling when it’s a bit chilly and you jump back into bed after a shower and it’s still warm.

Resilience. I am generally blessed but when the shit has hit the fan I have deep reserves to draw on and just keep on going. Not everyone has this

allfalldown47 · 08/09/2020 21:40

Lots of people who love and support me.

Two lovely children who miraculously still love spending time with me and generally have grown up to be really lovely & decent beings.

Super speedy metabolism Grin

A very young family, so my children meet their great great grandparents and get to share love and memories Smile

Patience. My son is disabled and I would never have guessed beforehand how much patience I would need, or have.
