  1. I'm 39, I bought a really cheap house following my divorce as was only working 3 days per week. I'm now full time and have been promoted since then, so the % has gone down considerably.

21% of our joint net pay, but we also pay a lot into our pensions via salary sacrifice, which lowers that net figure considerably.

We're in the SE and bought 2 years ago as FTBs, when we were in our late 20s/early 30s. It's comfortable for us, and less than we were paying previously as private renters.
