Not myself personally but I remember an old high school English teacher who had a crush on Michael Henchard from the book The Mayor of Casterbridge. She wouldn’t hear any arguments against him 😂

Oh yes the Sheriff of Nottingham, Alan Rickman style. Much more fun than Robin "I'm English honest just ignore the accent" Hood.

It's odd how much I loved Peter Davison as Tristan in all creatures.. in the 70 s , but I didn't like him as Dr Who in 80s!
(My crush had died a death by then , plus he also had married by then too , so there really wasn't any hope at all ! )
I like the fictional character Cormoran Strike as he seems nice and respects women.

I watched GWTW when I was 13, and I think that set the scene for me, man-wise, for ever more.
