Unfortunately I went for the original Hannibal Hayes - I remember unexpectedly reading in the newspaper 'Duel dead'. (I don't remember particularly reading the newspaper when I was 11, I suppose it caught my eye)

I go through one every few years - usually when my life is stressful.

A lot of these aren't fictional characters though, they are just good looking actors. I prefer the characters that I can create in my mind - so book characters who've never been filmed. I remember seeing the first LOTR film and looking at Strider and thinking 'really?' The Aragorn in my head was very different to the one in the films!

Maybe we should have a thread for PURELY fictional characters!

Up to a point - I doubt that people who do find Aragorn in the films of LOTR attractive would necessarily find Viggo Mortensen appealing in some of his other roles, for instance.

True, I don't think I like Viggo Mortensen in anything but the Aragorn role.

Yes. I adore Legolas but can take or leave Orlando Bloom in anything else, and don't find him particularly attractive as himself. Its the character I like. I would really like to be an elf!

Tbf I really like Orlando bloom as Will in pirates of the Caribbean. But I definately agree with you about legolas. What a hottie.

I currently really fancy Pope from animal kingdom which anyone who's watched will know is a little concerning 😬

I don't fancy His Grace, The Duke of Ankh, Commander Sir Samuel "Sam" Vimes; I luvs him.

I think in a lot of cases it is the character (with the bonus that they are being played by an attractive actor) but like in my Loki example, he is very different to Tom Hiddleston.

@sootikinstew - Nooo! George Warleggan is what I have named my ex on my phone as he never, ever stops being a scheming bastard with an axe to grind. Mind you i haven't finished season 5 so no spoilers if he turns into St George in the end.
