I would a normal 2 bedroom house is just fine

Somewhere (spacious but not outrageously so) by the beach.

Currently at the seaside and don't want to ever come home.

Otherwise I'd love my current house with an extra bedroom / bathroom and some more outside space (live in Central London, no room to extend for the space we need)

Kernowgal · 05/09/2020 07:28

Three bed with an acre of flat land nearby so I can put up a polytunnel for veg and have a few chickens as well as an ornamental garden.

House could be a semi or detached, bungalow is fine, super modern eco house or anything older, don't care. Oh and by the sea. Has to be near the sea and have a big kitchen.

Demanding, moi?

Tumbleweed101 · 05/09/2020 07:28

A detached ‘Witches’ cottage - something cosy with a nice kitchen and wood burner. A nice garden with a woodland area and beautiful views.

joeysapple · 05/09/2020 07:33

A new barn conversion. Somewhere with no direct neighbours. Log burner in a snug living room, huge kitchen diner with views over the countryside. High ceilings.

Kpo58 · 05/09/2020 07:33

I want a non ugly 4 bed house with 2 reception rooms, downstairs loo (as well as a bathroom) and a kitchen large enough for a small table in it.

I'm currently hoping find one to buy one shortly.

HeronLanyon · 05/09/2020 07:34

dinos a friends of mine lives in exactly that. ‘Money’ is absolutely necessary as you listen to the death watching beetle at night and the creaking of the ancient barns by day.

Wonderful crazy staggering challenge of a place.

Spied · 05/09/2020 07:35

An old rectory in a quaint village. Polished oak staircase, beams, inglenook fireplace and leaded windows.
Graveyard is my garden.

Persipan · 05/09/2020 07:36

A big Georgian house. With an area. And I would like to have so many rooms that I don't know what they're all for.

Don't give two hoots about a garden, though.

HeronLanyon · 05/09/2020 07:36

‘Watch’ not ‘watching’

FippertyGibbett · 05/09/2020 07:37

In the middle of a field with a ten foot wall all the way around, and gates with a big lock on them.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 05/09/2020 07:41

I like my house but i'd ideally have another shower room and it needs rewiring and bits doing to it. Also the garden is small and very overlooked.
If i could have anything i'd have something like this; www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/51652124?search_identifier=90f8da51d99f545c85536a25c7cbe5af but i'd need to redecorate the living room and get rid of the table out of there to make it more spacious. Apart from that it has everything I want.

YgritteSnow · 05/09/2020 07:41

Small house over looking the sea.

bluecheese2412 · 05/09/2020 07:42

Detached house, massive entrance, large living space with high ceilings, indoor and outdoor pool and the master bedroom with a dressing room and a en-suite with a free standing bathtub with a view of acres of land that belongs to me Grin

jolokoy · 05/09/2020 07:43

An 18th century stone built cottage on the tops with a lane in the front that leads down to a good farm shop and a pub. Burners in the old stone fireplaces and cosy rugs on the flagged stone floor. A bright kitchen that opens out to a little kitchen garden with a little place to sit covered when it's raining. A little house for my bike and decent broadband. Trees beyond that I can hear murmuring when it's windy.

Skyliner001 · 05/09/2020 07:45

Detached country home. I feel incredibly lucky 🥰💓

uglyface · 05/09/2020 07:45

In our village, 4 beds (so spare room for when DM stays), second reception room downstairs for playroom, driveway and garden.

We’re looking at about £700-800,000 for this, so it will remain only a dream!

SushiGo · 05/09/2020 07:46

4 or 5 double bedrooms Victorian house, lots of period features, fireplaces and maybe a modern extension to give it a big kitchen dining space if needed, reasonable sized mostly flat garden, oh and off street parking.

There are some that exist where I live unfortunately double our house buying budget!

HeronLanyon · 05/09/2020 07:50

jolokoy please may I move in (I’ll leave my dp behind obvs - wouldn’t want to be crowded!)
Grin
Sounds lovely.

MarshaBradyo · 05/09/2020 07:51

Detached Georgian zone two

Or on flip side a really good one from the modern house

Suzi888 · 05/09/2020 07:52

A house with beautiful views on my own private beach.
Considered moving to a seaside location but the volume of traffic and parking issues put me off.

yearinyearout · 05/09/2020 08:02

An open plan house with a back garden overlooking the sea. Large kitchen with double fridge and several ovens to make Christmas Day cooking a breeze. A doggy wet room for after muddy walks. Four double bedrooms but with an annex in the grounds for adult kids and visitors so I don't have to have them under my feet 24/7.

tearinyourhand · 05/09/2020 08:04

I have a yearning for a really retro mid century split level bungalow with lots of big windows. Ideally with a nice view.

Macramacious · 05/09/2020 08:08

Anything by the sea. Ideally a farm house and farm but I'd take one of those beach huts if necessary.

Howmanysleepsnow · 05/09/2020 08:11

What I really want is an old detached house that backs onto countryside but is on the edge of a village, with a garden of a couple of acres. Size of interior wouldn’t bother me, but I’d like a log burner and as the dc like their own rooms we’ll need 5 bedrooms. Basically, my house somewhere else and without the adjoining property!

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 05/09/2020 08:12

My house but decluttered
