If you could only have two sweet treats a week, what would they be?

By sweet treat I mean - a piece of cake, a serving of pudding, a small chocolate bar, a couple of biscuits.

So ... strictly only two per week. What would you choose?

I would say I only have 1/2 sweet treats a week. This week it was a piece of butterscotch cake and some Tony’s honeycomb & almond chocolate. But a scone with clotted cream would be my favourite.

My weakness is chips. I’d gladly forgo anything sweet for a plate of fish & chips.

Can I have a cheese board instead?

labazsisgoingmad · 15/08/2020 10:36

a nice fresh cream doughnut from our local bakers
a bar of galaxy spec if a big family sized one Blush

Goneback2school · 15/08/2020 10:39

I've been doing this for the past few weeks, hoping to make it a habit. I find I'm eating less junk just for the sake of it and actually picking food I enjoy. Next week will probably be some Tony's chocolate- I have a few bars at home. I love icecream with stuff so either ben and Jerry's or a snickers/ peanut butter cup icecream sundae from a place near where I work.

Jarofflies · 15/08/2020 11:34

2 bars of dairy milk

JadesRollerDisco · 15/08/2020 11:36

Yeo valley yoghurt is like he Rolls-Royce of yogurt though. Their black currant yoghurt is to die for.

I'd have to have a powder sugared ring donut and some phish food ice cream. Although I'd miss crumble, which I love completely but eat rarely

IncrediblySadToo · 15/08/2020 11:38

@BullshitVivienne

Just for you...

I'm seriously low carbing (I'm diabetic & it controls my blood sugars without needing metformin etc)

When I'm 'on the Wagon' a few frozen berries on my total yogurt is as big a treat as it gets 🙄

If I wasn't diabetic/low Carbing...I'd have to rotate my way through all the options!!!

But Rhum Baba from mathilde in France & French ice cream would be right on up there!

Bloody diabetes! 🤬

I know I know Grin but I love it! Ds2 used to love it and it also plays havoc with my blood sugar so it really is a treat! Revels wouldnt help either!

MarshaBradyo · 15/08/2020 11:42

If I wasn’t doing low carb it would be

Tiramisu
Croissant

MyPersona · 15/08/2020 11:55

A slice of some kind of frangipane tart, like pear or apricot, with cream. A scoop of good ice cream, preferably nutty.

maddiemookins16mum · 15/08/2020 11:57

A dark chocolate Bounty and a fresh cream donut.

MorrisZapp · 15/08/2020 11:59

I have decided that any sweet treat that isn't chocolate is basically a waste of calories. Cake etc is delightful but doesn't really do it for me as a satisfying treat. Only chocolate does that.

Chocolate cake is a mystery to me. JUST EAT CHOCOLATE!

MorrisZapp · 15/08/2020 12:00

Honourable exception: pink jammy from Greggs

TheyThoughtItWasAllOver · 15/08/2020 12:07

Sainsbury's tiramisu pot
Haagen Dazs salted caramel icecream

Egghead68 · 15/08/2020 20:31

Gregg’s Cream apple danish or an AMT almond croissant

Ice cream sundae.

I’ll have to try this Tony’s chocolate everyone likes.

36degrees · 16/08/2020 00:31

Bakewell Tart
Eccles Cake

But would much rather have salted (never flavoured) crisps, cheese and crackers or fish and chips, given the choice.
