If you could only have two sweet treats a week, what would they be?

By sweet treat I mean - a piece of cake, a serving of pudding, a small chocolate bar, a couple of biscuits.

So ... strictly only two per week. What would you choose?

Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.
Or
Bag of fruit pastilles.

It's fairly recent for me - since I turned 40, I've found that my metabolism threw the brakes on and if I put pounds on it's incredibly hard work to shed them again.
I also have psoriasis and finally got serious about cutting down some food triggers.

I had a mindset shift and decided that I have to "eat like an adult" which helped to prevent me from hoovering up the kids' lunchbox snacks Blush. It was deliberate for about six weeks and then it became a habit, now it's just me.

I do this already!
Last week I had a jam donut midweek on a picnic and some tiramisu on Sunday.
Delicious, I enjoyed them very much but realise they’re best kept as occasional treats rather than every day (which I used to do many moons ago Grin - oh youth!!).

Shizzlestix · 15/08/2020 00:34

Ritter Sport
Some sort of cake

sorryforswearing · 15/08/2020 00:48

A big ice cream like a sundae or a tub with different flavoured scoops and a bar of chocolate.

ChavvySexPond · 15/08/2020 00:52

I haven't had Black Forest Gateau since I was a child, but now I reaalllly want some. Grin

And a rhubarb crumble.

Dazzedandconfused · 15/08/2020 01:00

Aw no that would be torture for me as I've such a sweet tooth! Probably a Chocolate mousse (the trifle style ones) and a slice of chocolate cheesecake.

ILiveInSalemsLot · 15/08/2020 01:02

Homemade cake and cheesecake. I’d be happy with that as I’d prefer crisps and popcorn anyway.

Hairthrowaway · 15/08/2020 01:05

I’m not a massive sweet treat fan so I’d just go for ice cream. 2nd choice would be crisps

PointersPlease · 15/08/2020 01:05

A creme brûlée and another creme brûlée

lobsteroll · 15/08/2020 01:20

A jam doughnut

A Portuguese tart

MitziK · 15/08/2020 01:23

No thanks. Wouldn't mind some chip shop chips, though.

Maybe we could have two savoury treats a week as well? 😋 🐷
SingingSands · 15/08/2020 01:53

Creme brulee

happypotamus · 15/08/2020 08:45

Jaffa cakes and chocolate hob nobs dipped in tea. Some days I survive almost entirely on those foods (night shifts are bad for you!)

GoldenHoops · 15/08/2020 09:01

Yeo valley raspberry yogurt
Revels

BigChocFrenzy · 15/08/2020 09:47
  1. An apple, calvados, almonds & cinammon Flammkuchen (it's like a paper-thin pizza, I'm in German)
    from my fav restaurant here

  2. Cappuccino ice cream with choc custard

BigChocFrenzy · 15/08/2020 09:48

I only have a pud every couple of weeks, so I demand the best

Marmite27 · 15/08/2020 09:49

Lindt Excellence Salted Caramel dark chocolate (a few squares as it only comes in 100g bars)

Fry’s orange cream

amieejust · 15/08/2020 09:49

Massive slab of chocolate cake.

Caramac bar.

Spied · 15/08/2020 09:55

A slab of 'Birthday' style iced vanilla and jam sponge.

A Boost

Backarackhams · 15/08/2020 10:09

Custard creams.
Kinder bueno.

Shayisgreat · 15/08/2020 10:18

I have sweet treats at the weekend only (usually - this week was different) and I normally have a bar of milk chocolate one day and 3 chocolate chip cookies the other day. It's the lidl variety of fox's chocolate chip cookies and they're REALLY good!

Lovelydovey · 15/08/2020 10:19

Chocolate mousse
Ice cream

BearSoFair · 15/08/2020 10:21

Banana bread
Ginger biscuits

But like some others I'd rather trade them for crisps!
