Hullo - anybody as old as time (like I am) and remembers me?

Sorry, v needy fred.

I last posted about 5 years ago to ask for advice on how to screenshot a v explicit message that accidentally ended up on DS’s iPad and which, long but v predictable story short, led to STBXH and I splitting up.
Still not divorced Shock.

So, howzit been here meantime?

Just by the force of typie fingers we can send such immense vibes over the ether! The poor man was obviously powerless to resist getting his wang out.Hmm

Well, I've just been on my PMs and seems some kind souls had tried to contact me in 2018 (messages have been deleted things) - I think I may have been on briefly, bored of an evening, but did nto have any staying power.

You are all being very kind and welcoming

I remember you too.
You're nice. Gin Cake

BogRollBOGOF · 09/07/2020 23:12

Your name rings a bell although we wouldn't have overlapped by a significant amount. I was a regular prior to penis beaker.

MN has been through "interesting times" in recent months... it makes me almost fond of Brexit... but not quite...

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 09/07/2020 23:13

My oldest is 26 and she and her bf bought a house today. That makes me old!

I've always been more of a lurker/name changer but remember you. What's lacking is sarcasm and humour. As I've learned on many an occasion when I have totally unintentionally offended people. Everyone is so earnest and well intentioned these days.

Pacif1cDogwood · 09/07/2020 23:13

I know more about the behaviours of dogs and men than I would ever have done without MN.

And these behaviours are surprisingly often quite similar...

I have been adopted by a rescue greyhound, also about 5 years ago, so have lived experience of the above.

Oh and Justine has had to pass the collection plate round because time iz 'ard at MN Towers.

JacobReesMogadishu · 09/07/2020 23:15

@YaasssQueen

I was trying to remember the other day who the poster was that was poached from us mere mortals by Justine and Carrie for the actual mumsnet company, and did the talk roundups- was it HullyGully? Or Aitch?

I see Xenia about occasionally, although not for a while to be fair.

And am eternally grateful for @Bikerunski, @Addictedtoharibo and @Peachy (Have tagged them in case they are still around!) They gave me fantastic advice and support when I had dreadful hyperemesis and was in and out of hospital for months on end.

MN is still fab, there's just more flotsam and jetsam in between the diamonds.

Wasn’t it MorningPaper who did the roundups?
HoneysuckIejasmine · 09/07/2020 23:16

I remember your name too, but I don't think we interacted. I was a serial lurker (except for Conception boards) back then.

Well done on the STBXH front, hope it all goes through quickly and smoothly.

Pacif1cDogwood · 09/07/2020 23:16

Oh, sarcasm!
I lurve sarcasm.
It is in NO way the lowest form of wit.
It needs to be clever though and aimed at equals, not used as a weapon to bully.

Shall we be sarky about The Trumpalump? Or BoJo?? Or... what's the Brasilian guy called again? Wine

OP posts:
Pacif1cDogwood · 09/07/2020 23:17

It was Aitch before Morningpaper.
I 'knew' her when she was still Aitch2O or some version of that.

YaasssQueen · 09/07/2020 23:17

Ooh yes Jacob you might be right there!

JacobReesMogadishu · 09/07/2020 23:17

@Pacif1cDogwood

Jacob, love yer name! Grin
Ha, glad you “get” the irony behind it. A sign of a true old school MNer.

You’d be surprised at the amount of posters who have given me abuse, accusing me of being a Tory lover thinking it’s some sort of tribute to him!

Pacif1cDogwood · 09/07/2020 23:18

Xenia! There's a blast from the past.

There's a Scottish Island for sale just now - I wonder whether she might be on the market for it?

For old hags likek my 'Mogadishu' only stand for one thing.

As does Jacob, father of Septimus.

And neither is a Good Thing...

Bikerunski is definitely still about, saw her earlier today.

Bettercallsaul1 · 09/07/2020 23:20

I remember you very well, OP! You were always a very nice and reasonable poster. I can’t believe it’s been five years though!

Pacif1cDogwood · 09/07/2020 23:20

Creepy brackets!
I'm a great fan of the creepy brackets.
Better than all that @ and #.

OP posts:
Pacif1cDogwood · 09/07/2020 23:21

I may have become much much less reasonable in recent years though....

It is truly strange, but it took my entire world collapsing on itself for me to find my mojo again.

Life is weird.

Yeah, bikerunski was in the moving up north thread.

FaceOfASpink · 09/07/2020 23:24

Yep. The reinvention out of the ruins can be an awesome thingGrin
I also got dogged up in the aftermath. Best Decision Ever.
Were you on a series of hysterectomy threads?

LizzieVereker · 09/07/2020 23:25

I remember you @Pacif1cDogwood - you were always so kind but funny. I’m glad you’re back. I’m not here so much now, it's OK but not nearly so witty.

WorraLiberty · 09/07/2020 23:29

I remember you!

Welcome home Grin

Pacif1cDogwood · 09/07/2020 23:30

Nope, not really on hysterectomy threads, I don't think.
May have waxed lyrically about pelvic floor exercises though.
Oh, I wonder wether GussieGrips is still around? The woman deserves a knighthood for her services to the nations continence!

I got dogged up 1 month prior to finding out about H's infidelity. At the time I was really angry about that too - him going along with us committing to a rescue animal when he KNEW what he was up to. His 'plan' clearly was to continue having his cake and eating it indefinetely, because what was wrong with that?!

The hound is of course great and made me go out and walk, for miles and miles while things were really tough, and keeps me company and makes me laugh: nothing more undignified than a greyhound roaching! Grin
