Insane
I had it years ago just out of curiosity. I dont know if it was just a good guess but she did say I had trouble in gall bladder area and was having a bad time sleeping. Specifically waking at around 2am regularly. All which was true although gall bladder took a while to kick in properly.

I was offered it when pregnant as they were doing trials on it and the lady was doing it for pregnant women for free. Can't say if it did anything as i really didnt have any bother being pregnant at that time but it was very relaxing and I walked home on air.😄

torydeathdrug · 06/07/2020 15:02

unfortunately yes we need GP referrals in order to use our health insurance. It is just so frustrating. And scary.

torydeathdrug · 06/07/2020 15:06

still the NHS just announced 15 people Sadly Died in hospital so I guess that's enough to justify denying everyone else treatment Hmm

Ibake · 06/07/2020 15:08

Ok, have managed to successfully send the group link to people using DM on here. Send me a message if you can't find the group. Am off to walk doggo as the sun has finally come out but will check my inbox when I get back.

Nihiloxica · 06/07/2020 15:11

That is shocking, tory.

Is there some kind of inertia that builds up if people stop working?

I swear if I read one more post about how The Virus closed the NHS and not human decisions, I won't be responsible for my actions.

Viruses don't impose lockdowns, humans do.

Every harm caused by lockdown was a human choice and other choices were available.

I wonder what the normal deaths are in a big hospital? Yet they dont close them down.
torydeathdrug · 06/07/2020 15:30

are are fewer people dying overall in hospital now than is usual for this time of year. It's quite striking.

110APiccadilly · 06/07/2020 15:35

Sadly I have a job where I need to be ultra careful about what I do on Facebook. (This makes it sounds like I work for GCHQ or someone. I don't!)

@torydeathdrug that sounds awful. One of the worst effects of "protecting the NHS" seems to be that the NHS is no longer treating most things. I've had problems with maternity care, but they're nothing like as bad as what you're describing.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 06/07/2020 15:40

I'm not on FB, unfortunately, so can't join you all.

I think the NHS is about to face a massive backlash from people with treatable conditions who haven't been able to get treatment, and the publicity about the failure to catch cancer early is just the start.

Nihiloxica · 06/07/2020 15:41

It's like those people who used to "protect" their sofa by keeping it covered in uncomfortable plastic wrapping.

So the sofa was preserved, but only by relinquishing its function as a comfortable place to sit.

Teateaandmoretea · 06/07/2020 15:42

protecting the NHS

I have a real issue with this. Fair enough flatten the curve but the whole point of the NHS is to protect us. Not for the people to stay in their houses so they never have to go to hospital. It’s totally fucked up as a message imo.

Yes this. It’s the government’s job to ensure that the NHS can run effectively, not ours.

This x 100. "The industry has been hit by the virus." "you can't do it because of Covid." No it's not because of Covid. It's because of the knee-jerk LOCKDOWN, which is causing much more harm than good, and should not still be going on. So much has been put on hold because of Covid. Boris said twelve weeks; it's now fifteen and counting. He lied.

And now we've supposedly had lots of freedoms back (we haven't); no more has been said about what's going to be released from the shackles of lockdown next. I'm struggling to find motivation, with nothing new to hope for, and most of my favourite activities still banned by smirking Boris and his clowns.

Willow2017 · 06/07/2020 15:57

It all smacks of we protected everyone in hospital who had covid or tested for it but had no fecking symptoms and the rest of the population should be glad that thier health is fucked because we are such heros. The gov has protected the few and the fact that it's screwed over the many is small beer just be grateful.

justasking111 · 06/07/2020 16:03

The NHS want another 10 billion, for what they will not treat so many people who need to be seen now after three months, no scans, mri`s, clinics at my hospital. I have written to the hospital consultants secretary three weeks ago, still no reply. The Spire say they can do nothing because of the NHS. I daresay the media will watch the figures carefully and a year from now tell us of the extra deaths because of this paralysis of the NHS.

littlbrowndog · 06/07/2020 16:10

Good news.

Saw some a large pack of whatlooked liked P7 boys playing in the school playground. It’s a massive playground that goes right round a very old school.
They can’t use local playpark as that is for wee kids and I think the big scary boys use the football pitch.

It was the best thing I have seen for months , there was about 20 of them , we mostly live in tenements here so a lot of us have no private gardens

It really lifted my heart to see loads of kids jus5 playing together

InsaneInTheViralMembrane · 06/07/2020 16:11

@torydeathdrug I’m sorry, what a shower of shite. So the nhs is the gatekeeper of private too. Marvellous.

I’m really pleased I’ve got my brain MRI this week, but really it should’ve been March. Good job the suspicion is not a tumour!

torydeathdrug · 06/07/2020 16:12

the NHS exists for the benefit of its patients & potential patients. If they only way it can survive is by telling people not to use it then it is clearly pointless & should go. I have had enough of the protect the NHS bollocks ... it's a service & by many metrics it's a completely crap one. Only in the UK are we expected not only to put up with it but to collectively worship it. And all this bloody envy of the world bullshit - all other developed countries are grateful they have something better.

dh & I have each spent over two hours calling/emailing/visiting/writing letters today & we're no further forward. They act as if they are somehow doing us a favour for answering the phone (except haematology who don't even bother with that). Oh & shout out to paeds who think a video call is an appropriate way to assess a highly anxious & avoidant 13yo with ASD & a shit load of other issues. Guess when he self harms again I should be grateful The Virus didn't get him.

littlbrowndog · 06/07/2020 16:12

Sorry for all with the shite from NHS.

It’s just so damaging

incognitomum · 06/07/2020 16:18

I saw they've closed a pub in Darlington where I was born. No SDing and landlord was inebriated and argumentative. Oh dear.

Orangeblossom78 · 06/07/2020 16:19

Not on FB here either. Yes NHS should be protecting us, other countries do not seem to have this thing that we are lucky just to have healthcare and that if it is crap that is kind of Ok as we are 'protecting' it.

I have had good help with Benenden health in the past but not used since covid. It's only about ten pounds a month and kicks in if the NHS is being rubbish.

RobinHobb · 06/07/2020 16:20

So day 1 of the summer holidays here
I took the DC to a garden center close by that has a little playground.
I asked the lady working there if it was open and there were any plans to open it. She looked shocked and said "no, it's too small".
I must have looked completely blank because she followed up with "we can't keep the social distance in there because it's small"
What a load of bollocks. I am beginning to hate these people who have no understanding of anything being on a power trip.
I'm finding that many services that are normally poor (eg nhs) are now using this as a reason/excuse to be even worse. Our GP is horrible to get an appointment with at the best of times: they have pretty much shut down doors. My 2yo has a heart murmur - appointment cancelled and replaced with a phone call. I couldn't resist the urge to ask if they could do an ECG on the phone these days. It didn't go down well.
Rescheduled to August. She's TWO years old.

torydeathdrug · 06/07/2020 16:23

@InsaneInTheViralMembrane very glad you've got your scan.

dd1 has a pituitary ademoma - she was supposed to have a followup MRI in April. Her thing is benign & not really a big deal but she requires medication for it & the plan always was that after two years she'd be rescanned in the hope she could stop before she goes off to university (needs a bit of supervision initially). I think as things are going she's highly unlikely even to get an appointment before September. She wants to join the navy & can't until this is dealt with. We'd willingly use private care (that's how she was diagnosed in the first place - NHS weren't interested) but can't because they are effectively bed blocking.

They literally couldn't be less bothered - it's just no, tough luck, covid, piss off.

torydeathdrug · 06/07/2020 16:27

adenoma - sigh I'm so cross I can't even type.

Wine free for 8 days ... it's not fun.

okiedokieme · 06/07/2020 16:33

How do I join the Facebook group? Just so fed up. Can't see kids because they are in Leicester! (No cases in their neighbourhood at all)
