Just looking through the catalogue makes me so happy. I'd love to buy the gelato shop. In fact to have the whole department store would be amazing.
Dd(4) loves playing with them and they are definelty hers but I do sometimes think about putting it all together properly when she's at school. With all the little cakes on the right plates etc.
This is what lockdown has done to me!!!!! 😂😂

What the hell! How did I live in london for seven years and not know about the sylvannian families shop?! The things you learn from mumsnet. This thread is so wholesome 😊 have long held a deep dark fantasy about becoming a rich old lady with a room in the house dedicated to SF after I saw my mums friend had a dolls house in a room and that was it. It was beautiful and she decorated it for the seasons 😍

If it wasn’t lockdown we could start a SF club.

@Kpo58

Ahh but I am harking back to the days of the 80s when there were very pedestrian bears and rabbits! Didn’t realise the Pandas etc were introduced as early as 1992 though.

As an aside, has anyone seen the Sylvanian Families episodes on (I think?) netflix?

The smallest is naked because she tool all her clothes off before lunch .
I was ridiculously pleased to find tiny lights at The Works !

My kind of people Grin

I had the bakery growing up; almost passed out with jealousy when my friend showed me the windmill she'd been given for her birthday.

My kids are 3 and 2, and the 2yo is still very much a chewer/swallower so we're not quite ready for SF in this house. By Christmas though...

@YaWeeSkitter very true! I mean older men sometimes have train sets. I can have a SF town!
Also, I never realised there was a SF shop, omg. Once lockdown is over I’ll be paying it a visit!

Oh I hope the shop survives for you all. I stumbled across it when researching things to do with children in London on the internet before our holiday. It was quaint and unexpected in the area, slightly weatherbeaten on the outside but such a joy on the inside. Just be cautious if anyone in the family has mobility issues as I seem to remember a half set of stairs inside. Staff were lovely, no pressure to buy, they let us browse, it was a quiet morning and we enjoyed shopping there. They had some SF sets that it wouldn't be possible to buy in UK/European toy shops - special Japanese editions. We emerged from the tube near Arsenal FC so maybe best to avoid travelling on a match day.

I am so so so excited about the shop!! Love us all talking sylvanians. Do Amy of you have naughty characters? Crawling baby is SO naughty for us.

OP, may I recommend Animal Crossing to you? It is like the computer game version of Sylvanian Families. Just don't share your island with your 5YO DS who destroys everything and dumps furniture on the beach.
