We usually always get salt & chilli chicken, curry, egg fried rice & noodles. Fancy something different, looking for recommendations please

Oh I love crispy chilli beef too!

stillraining · 22/06/2020 19:31

The problem is that lots of Chinese takeaways aren't that good. I'd kill for a good Chinese meal though. And a good Japanese.

Lemon chicken
Sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style

Sweet and Sour pork with a plain chow mien, every time. I prefer it Cantonese style, which is roast sliced pork, but struggle to find a Chinese which does it like this. Hong Kong style is crispy deep fried in batter.

Holothane · 22/06/2020 20:15

King prawn fried rice for me never changes I love it.

jay55 · 22/06/2020 20:29

Char sui pork and ho fun noodles

nonicknameseemsavailable · 22/06/2020 20:45

if it wasn't for bowel disease and a complete inability to eat anything I actually like I would have

Satay chicken, beef chow mein, chicken and cashew nuts, sweet and shour pork or chicken balls with the sauce, something with beansprouts, egg fried rice and a chinese curry. oh and prawn crackers. and crispy seaweed. and spring rolls. and what the heck duck pancake too.

YellowEllis · 22/06/2020 21:11

Ever since I posted on this thread earlier I've been craving Chinese, DH didn't take much convincing. Cheers for the inspiration OP Grin

For those who get salt and chilli chicken - how does that come? Is it saucy or dry? I like the sound of it I think, and would like to know more!

We would normally get kung po chilli chicken, plain chow mein, beef chop suey and sweet and sour chicken balls. Basically all the meat!

Anything with duck. Chicken/cashew nuts with yellowbean sauce. Crispy noodles. Veggie spring rolls.

violetscone · 23/06/2020 07:01

I like chicken or duck with pineapple and ginger, or chicken in satay sauce with cashew nuts.
