So im thinking of changing over to resusable toilet paper to be eco friendly and save money, this would be for number 1 not number 2 Smile is there anyone here that has done this, would you recommend? I know they sell them online but was wondering if anyone knows any actual shops that sell reusable toilet paper in the uk?

Does anyone who uses the modipants find they felt tight or slightly bulky? I hate anything feeling bulky and tried diarydolls (or maybe a cheap imitation) but found the material really uncomfy. I’m looking at trying modi and wondered what people thought?

People are strange about bodily functions.

Don't you just shove them in the wash like your pants? When my child wets himself I don't just wash one pair of pants, or if he does skids, I don't see that this is different.

I tried a t-shirt material single layer folded but that was not thick enough so yes may try fleece, i was looking at alternatives to bidets and it was suggested to use a water spray bottle instead..i never heard of this method but i guess it isnt something people tend to generally drop into conversations

Hm, i don’t have wet pants and the odd time DD wet herself when she was trained the pants would be washed or at least rinsed before washed.

Same with skid marks, similar to period stains, they are treated before washing.

Body fluids, in my opinion, shouldn’t be just washed with other fairly clean clothes. There is a big different in clothes worn for a day and not dirty to fabric with body fluid on it.

you can always wear clothes a second day if they are still clean.. apart from underwear

Russelbrand.....they take up hardly any room in a washing machine so just go in a weekly white wash. They sit in tea tree oiled water so no bad smells. I usually give them a quick hand rinse and shove them in the wash.

I cut up some old flannel duvet covers, I didn't hem them just stitches a line around the edge to stop them fraying too far. When they've been used they go into a bucket with some O2 laundry bleach, and they get put in the next wash.

I’m not going near reusable toilet paper, but I do use washable sanitary pads (as well as sometimes tampons, I find mooncup very uncomfortable). They were bought pretty cheap on amazon and so far they’ve stayed in place, absorbed well and are quite comfortable. I wouldn’t go back to sniffing all the packets in the supermarket trying to find unperfumed disposable ones! The top sheet is black fleece so no stains and I wash them with dark coloured clothes or towels on an ordinary wash, no soaking or boiling. Being fleece lined they are quite hot though.

I quite like the idea, but I doubt teenage DC would buy into it! Surely you would just chuck them in a hot towel/bedding wash whenever you're doing one?

I think this is a step too far for me, and shudder to think about the washing with a houseful of people.

One of those loo hoses could be easily installed, or like us, a combination loo and hand washing basin on top of the cistern, which enables a post dump/wee wash.
