A letter from my employer as I'm not NHS. Carried it in my car but never needed it.

CountFosco · 18/06/2020 09:13

DH and I both have letters from work. Not had to use them though, we WFH so kids are at home with us except the Y6.

Jeremyironsnothing · 18/06/2020 09:16

Letters from work for both of them in our house.

Why?

DebbieFiderer · 18/06/2020 09:20

I have my NHS ID badge, have only used it for queue jumping at the supermarket, never needed to prove key worker status for anything else including school (but they already knew what my job was as I've cared for several members of staff)

Lardlizard · 18/06/2020 09:28

You don’t want to know why!

A letter from the organisation I volunteer with, issued right at the beginning of lockdown. Scared the wits out if me as I thought it meant we'd be stopped from exercising.

drspouse · 18/06/2020 09:43

My DH has a letter from his employer but both DCs' schools just believed us (though one of them tried to say that KW are not those who can WFH as they aren't "proper" KW. Given that DH job requires lengthy video meetings that can't be disrupted and when he started his current job they put me as well through security clearance I doubt they would be happy to have a meltdown from our DS who has SEN during his meeting!)

Stompythedinosaur · 18/06/2020 09:44

My NHS Trust sent letters to everyone, but I've not needed to use it.

Jeremyironsnothing · 18/06/2020 09:45

I really do want to know why Grin

rooarsome · 18/06/2020 09:53

My husband has a letter from his employer, I have my NHS ID.

andweallsingalong · 18/06/2020 10:09

Letter from work and statement that dc cannot safely be looked after at home. DH is at home so we can't access provision.

CorianderLord · 18/06/2020 10:09

A letter from my employer

drspouse · 18/06/2020 10:11

DH is at home so we can't access provision.
This should no longer be the case.

EggysMom · 18/06/2020 10:11

I have a letter from my employer about key worker status. I also have a letter from our local Council to supermarkets to say DH and I are carers to a disabled person.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 18/06/2020 10:11

I have an ID card.

GrumpySausage · 18/06/2020 10:12

A letter from my employer at my request but I've never been asked to prove it. Nursery asked me to fill a form in but no proof required.

AriettyHomily · 18/06/2020 10:12

DH has his work pass, not NHS.

I also, really want to know why!

Washinginthetimeofcovid · 18/06/2020 10:13

Never had to prove it. I have badge ready though.

Enderthedragon · 18/06/2020 10:15

Do you mean for school provision? Had to fill out an online form with both parents job title and name and address of employer. My kids got a place despite my husband not being a key worker.

Tell us why! Grin

Enderthedragon · 18/06/2020 10:15

Oh and I meant despite husband not being a key worker and working from home.

Snailsetssail · 18/06/2020 10:16

I have my school name badge and also a letter from my school explaining I’m a key worker and need to travel to work. DH is NHS and has the same, ID badge and a letter stating he has to be able to travel.

Choice4567 · 18/06/2020 10:17

I have a letter. Not been asked to see it though, and for school provision I explained my job and they accepted that.

OldEvilOwl · 18/06/2020 10:17

I have a letter from my employer too. Never used it though

LollipopViolet · 18/06/2020 10:19

Not NHS but have a letter from my employer in case I was stopped on my way to or from work, and I have a disability so carried proof of this as my mum was taking me to and from in the car, rather than me using limited public transport, just in case we were questioned about her being out too. Don't need it now as they have most staff working from home. Mum is a nurse in a care home so has her ID and a letter from her employer.

MaidenMotherCrone · 18/06/2020 10:20

I've never had to prove it and neither has my DH. We go to work, click&collect shopping or stay home.
