Can’t stop thinking I want another baby Sad have been trying a while and it isn’t happening. Would be 41 by the time the baby was born, if I managed it.

Anyone else have their last baby at 41? Did you feel older?

We’re also about to move areas (one part of London for another) and am a bit worried all the other people with babies will be at least 10 years younger than me and I won’t feel like I belong!

I had my first (& last) baby at 42, conceived naturally - wasn't even trying, thought it was the menopause Grin. No problems, no excessive tiredness, I was the 'oldest'' mother in the playground but it never really mattered. Now over 60 with a teenager ... but it's never bothered me.

I was 42 when I had my last baby. He is now 19. I loved having him in my 40's and never felt old. I did feel more tired than when I had my elder ones, but it has all been worth it.

I've only got one, conceived and born when I was 42. Having a child earlier just didn't happen and between 30-40 I had family losses so investigations/IVF would have been too much mentally to add to the mix.

I had a textbook pregnancy and all has been fine. At the school gate there is a huge mix of ages from 20 something's who had teenage pregnancies to 50 something's, plus grandparents, aunts/uncles/cousins, au pairs and childminders.

I was around that age and it was exhausting, honestly I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re absolutely certain. It’s ok now they’re older but it’s been a very tough few years.

I was what they would class as an 'older mother' for both pregnancies (36 and 39). I noticed that I was more tired for the second, but that might just have been because I had a busy toddler! But what I did notice about having a family late was that I had more patience and was financially much more secure and mortgage free. I think that being an older mum has lots of benefits.
