How do you do it?!
I've got a blanket on my lap and layers, can't get up and move about as I'm on a wired headset
Hot water bottle? Or any good tips!?

Oops! Blush And on my bottom half:
Thick Thermal leggings
Thick fleecy trousers

I'm REALLY miserable if I'm cold...

TawnyPippit · 09/06/2020 14:24

Another vote for a heated throw. I have a v plain grey one that came from Lakeland. It’s brilliant.

StCharlotte · 09/06/2020 18:14

Why don't they just make heated clothes and have done with it?

AlCalavicci · 09/06/2020 19:22

Have a look at Milwaukee clothes , they have heating elements running throughout them , battery powered . My DBswers by them as he works at a garage whereits always cold .
I will post a link later.

Fingerless gloves, hoodie, blanket. I'm struggling to keep my feet warm though, and the end of my nose gets freezing.

borntobequiet · 09/06/2020 19:46

I find a few minutes of vacuuming during a break warms me up and gets rid of cat hair. Win win.

BadTigerKitty · 09/06/2020 19:48

My friend recommends a bath mat under your feet. Haven't tried it, but it does sound like a good idea. My feet are always always cold. I like a hot water bottle behind my back - sometimes I sort of sit on it.

JollyHostess · 09/06/2020 19:52

Working from home reminds me of revising for A levels, I was always absolutely freezing. And I'm surprised by how chilly I get now, as a slightly over weight menopausal woman!
Fluffy socks and a blanket and sometimes a shawl help.

CatBatCat · 09/06/2020 19:55

Everything that has been said. I try to go for a walk at lunchtime too just to get some circilation going again which helps too.

Itsmemaggie · 09/06/2020 19:55

The best advice I’ve ever followed from
Mumsnet was on thread about this was to wear a scarf.

Itsmemaggie · 09/06/2020 19:59

That’s a scarf along with your other clothes. I think there is something about closing the skin gap around my neck that helps keep the rest of me warm.

AlCalavicci · 09/06/2020 19:59

Here we go , it is not cheep though Sad

Could you turn down all the other radiators in the house and just have the 1 on in the room you're working in? Being cold is just miserable.

Ghostlyglow · 09/06/2020 20:25

Really really old heating system in my house @Susanna85 so it's all or nothing with the radiators.
Being cold is miserable though.

Scrimshanker · 09/06/2020 20:42

I use a hot water bottle with a cover on the floor and rest my feet on it while working. It really works!

RandomMess · 09/06/2020 20:46

I'm in the NW and today I was just in thin pjs!!!

Think it's your hashimoto, can you use a small room so you can use a heater in it such as an oil filled radiator?

Auldspinster · 09/06/2020 21:20

Army surplus softy trousers are so warm, like wearing a sleeping bag. I wear a thick cardie and oversized scarf with a fleece dressing gown over the top if it's really cold.

M0nstermunch · 09/06/2020 21:25

Heated blanket wrapped round from shoulders to legs. I get so cold sat all day.

copycopypaste · 09/06/2020 21:26

I worked from home before lockdown and I bought myself a dyson heater, I use this and it's brilliant. I make sure that my office door is shut so I only freeze when making tea, lunch and loo breaks now. My office is toasty.

Auldspinster · 10/06/2020 09:35

Am wearing a pair of pretend uggs with extra thermal insoles and a blanket wrapped round me.

mogtheexcellent · 10/06/2020 09:39

I have a nice shawl, a blanket and a pair of turtledoves in my home office. Works well even in winter as our house is unheated.

FWIW I also have turtledoves at work office, in car and in pocket of dog walking coat. Grin

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 10/06/2020 10:47

I also have a stock of thin polo next long sleeved t shirts. they are great as a base layer as they keep neck, wrists and small of back covered and warm.

Could you turn down all the other radiators in the house and just have the 1 on in the room you're working in?
I am not going to go round the whole house and turn every rad off each morning, then on again each evening, then off again the next morning etc. What a faff. Warm clothes, closed doors and it's all good.

Auldspinster · 10/06/2020 11:13

Drinking Ainslie Harriot hot and sour cup a soup to warm the cockles.

Likethebattle · 10/06/2020 11:22

Heated throw over my knees and tucked under my feet.

RaspberryIsMyJam · 10/06/2020 11:24

I put the heating on
