Before breakfast? After breakfast?

Just before going out to school/work?

We do after breakfast (and before getting dressed for day)

Get up, wee, wash hands, brush teeth.

LochJessMonster · 08/06/2020 13:10

After breakfast.
I would hate to go about the day with my breakfast ‘taste’ in my mouth.

AriettyHomily · 08/06/2020 13:10

after coffee

captainprincess · 08/06/2020 13:15

After breakfast but about 30 minutes as it's not advisable to brush straight after a meal.

Sn0tnose · 08/06/2020 14:36

Loo first, then teeth.

I’ve traded breakfast for an extra 15 minutes in bed.

TokyoSushi · 08/06/2020 14:38

Whenever I have my shower, usually within an hour (mostly less) of getting up. I don't really eat breakfast.

BlackInk · 08/06/2020 14:39

After breakfast. Either before or after a shower.
I can't understand brushing teeth before breakfast - it would make the breakfast taste funny, and also sugars from breakfast sitting on your teeth all morning...

roarfeckingroar · 08/06/2020 14:40

Up, wee, coffee in bed (when time allows - always recently), teeth as soon as I'm up, breakfast, quick second brush / mouth wash.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 08/06/2020 14:41

After breakfast as I'm always starving when I wake up and I don't want to wait the recommended hour after brushing my teeth to eat.

gutentag1 · 08/06/2020 14:41

In the shower. I can go crazy with it without worrying about mess Grin

Davespecifico · 08/06/2020 14:42

Before and after breakfast if I have time. I’d rather trade the minty toothpaste taste for the overnight breath taste with my breakfast. I have a few swigs of water before eating which helps.

LovingLen · 08/06/2020 14:42

Before breakfast as I have to put my false teeth inGrin , if I didn’t have to do this it would be after breakfast, though I still do it after breakfast as well

Parker231 · 08/06/2020 14:43

Always after breakfast

cheeseislife8 · 08/06/2020 14:43

After breakfast. I worry about coffee breath!

namesnamesnamesnames · 08/06/2020 14:43

Before breakfast, as soon as I get up. This is dentist advice.

time4anothername · 08/06/2020 14:43

used to do after breakfast but then was advised to do before, something about the enamel destroying bacteria in plaque formed overnight needing to be cleaned off before it gets fed up by your breakfast

namesnamesnamesnames · 08/06/2020 14:44

Basically, bacteria multiplies overnight. If you eat before brushing, the bacteria feeds on the new food. Gross.

SweetPetrichor · 08/06/2020 15:16

It's the first thing I do when I get up.

dudsville · 08/06/2020 15:21

I try to wait until after breakfast. I was raised on the notion that you shouldn't eat/drink anything except water for a little while after brushing. I don't know if there's any basis to that. But I wake up with an urge to brush so I might only wait until after I've had coffee if I suspect it's going to be a while before I get hungry. I brush my teeth midday and evening too. I have a dry mouth and this helps.

Heatherjayne1972 · 08/06/2020 15:22

Current dental advice is before breakfast

However several different schools of thought on that

IDefinitelyHaveFriends · 08/06/2020 15:50

After coffee or before I snog anyone, whichever is the earlier.
