Outfit looks great. I'd go for the brown shoes. The other ones are lovely but they look more old style date in a restaurant or bar. Hope you have a lovely time.

ActuallyItsEugene · 04/06/2020 22:13

What time are you going? I think the brown shoes are better for a walk in the park.
The detailed ones would look a bit OTT.

Nice outfit though.

Namechangewhy · 04/06/2020 22:15

Flat shoes for the park - heels will look silly (no offence intended)

Pieceofpurplesky · 04/06/2020 22:15

Plain shoe makes your leg look longer.

You have an amazing figure

BizarreBizarre · 04/06/2020 22:24

I'm short so flat shoes might look crap

Lovely outfit
Go for it

Skyeshovercraft · 04/06/2020 22:59

You look perfect for a park date. Weather depending! How do you know him? I'm excited! I don't see anyone but my kids and the Amazon man

dontgobaconmyheart · 04/06/2020 23:22

Are they heels OP? I think for the context of daytime and the park it looks pretty out of place and I'd feel a bit try hard myself if he turned up in trainers (he very well might if it's the park). The blazer is also quite smart casual. Ideal for a bar but not a walk in the park IMO (though you yourself look good in it)

Happy to accept it's me that is wrong though since most here think its fine.

ActuallyItsEugene · 04/06/2020 23:58

I'm inclined to agree with @dontgobaconmyheart actually.

It does look very formal for what is a first date, literal walk in the park.
Perfect for a few drinks.

Can you do something more casual?
Personally I'd go with something like the pictures attached..

(Second without the clutch though)

Can I be cheeky and ask where your jacket is from please? That's exactly what I've been looking for for ages Grin

Hope you have a great time Grin

BizarreBizarre · 05/06/2020 06:10

Jacket is from h and m from about 2015! We know each other through a friend. I'm thinking trainers might be too casual???

vanillandhoney · 05/06/2020 06:15

I agree that the outfit is too formal for a walk in the park, though it looks amazing on.

I just think you may look a bit out of place for a park date, that's all.

FlowerArranger · 05/06/2020 06:32

Clean, well-fitting jeans, not ripped.
Nice T-shirt or casual top or shirt.
Interesting but not OTT necklace and earrings.
Less formal jacket.
Clean/newish trainers or ballet flats.
Smile

BizarreBizarre · 05/06/2020 06:48

Its lashing it down here so I'll have to re think anyway lol

Alwaystwomagpies · 05/06/2020 06:54

Strappy sandals will look a bit try hard in a park I think and risk you tottering along when you walk.
If you don’t want to do flat trainers then how about some mules or boots? Weather has turned here so you would get away with that and not look wintery.

Are you taking a flask of tea or a drink and a snack to share? Likely no cafes open yet.

Be aware very few public toilets open too!!

PunishmentSnart · 05/06/2020 10:41

Are you still going if it rains?

Definitely need flat shoes or trainers if raining.

BizarreBizarre · 05/06/2020 13:57

Which one??

I like the pink top but maybe with trainers (if the grass is going to be damp)

SteveTheSpiderPlantKiller · 05/06/2020 14:01

What trousers were you wearing in the original pic?

I still like the original outfit best, the two new ones don't feel like you have made an effort.

SteveTheSpiderPlantKiller · 05/06/2020 14:02

can you try the first outfit with the trainers but tie them up more neatly, or tuck the laces in instead of having a bow.

NameChange84 · 05/06/2020 14:05

Original outfit first then pink top second.

I can’t wear flats as they cause me pain and the podiatrist and orthopaedics say I’ll always need a heel. I’d go for a comfortable mule or wedge or pretty sandals if it’s not raining.

msmith501 · 05/06/2020 14:09

First outfit of the two posted a few mins ago. Casual yet strong. You look good in that.

ActuallyItsEugene · 05/06/2020 14:11

@SteveTheSpiderPlantKiller How much effort should you put in for a walk round a park?

Op, first one of the last two you posted.

Look lovely. Casual, but put together. Not trying too hard - effortless.

Have fun!

BizarreBizarre · 05/06/2020 14:11

Ok back here. Flat or wedged??

I'm going on a date tomorrow

I really disagree about the first of the new two outfits. I don’t like it at all. It’s fine if you are nipping to the shops but not for a date, even an outdoor one. It needs a bit more colour, it’s too drab.
