This is horrible! I'm so hot!!! Got horrendous hayfever too. It cools down by Wed, thank God.

Me usually. But we got an air con unit for bedroom and a big paddling pool for garden and it's made life much better! I actually sat out with my feet in the pool and enjoyed it! But generally yes, hate being too hot.

Rockbird · 31/05/2020 18:32

We have this every year. I'm genuinely glad people love the sun and the heat, go start a thread about it. The title was clear, please leave us to our misery! Grin

ScarfLadysBag · 31/05/2020 18:34

@dementedma I don't think this thread is for you

bigchris · 31/05/2020 18:34

Dementedma you're on the wrong thread!

We need rain , my skin is red and blotchy and no sleep here either

fairydustandpixies · 31/05/2020 18:34

I'm here too! Hiding indoors, blinds down, fans on, all dosed up with anti histamines...bah! Bring on autumn, I say!

kitk · 31/05/2020 18:37

Absolutely hating it! I'm always hot even in winter. Today we did a hill walk too- was retching by time we reached top

Spied · 31/05/2020 18:46

My DC begged for a summer beach holiday this year. Winter and I thought 'ok why not?' and booked (I haven't been to a hot country in years so I'd kind of forgot about the heat (I knowHmm)
Now I'm secretly over the moon it was cancelled as I can't cope with this heat in the UK so a fortnight in the Med would have killed me.

Namechange3007 · 31/05/2020 18:51

I have pretty much stayed indoors all day and my hayfever does seem better than yesterday.

OP posts:
MrsSnitchnose · 31/05/2020 19:06

I'm here! I've found my people. I loathe summer with it's hayfever triggering, skin burning, insect ridden, headache inducing, sweatiness, no sleep a passion

Emmy2020 · 31/05/2020 19:14

Me! Pregnant and feeling hot although yesterday I felt was hotter, today is hot but I don’t feel as grumpy about it! Sat in my room with fan on, all curtains upstairs are closed! I do like the sun but this heat is too much! I love it on holiday when there’s no housework, cooking to do and you can go in the pool. But not here!

3LittleMonkeyz · 31/05/2020 19:31

Standing as close as I can to the fan without it actually touching me, with a bottle of cooling spray wearing nothing but my underwear (much to DCs amusement) And drinking a cold drink. I think I must be allergic to summer

middleager · 31/05/2020 19:35

I'm joining.
Everybody else seems to love it.
I sat with a friend in the sun, covered up but still went bright red.

My limit is about 20 degrees. I holiday in the UK usually....

40somethingJBJ · 31/05/2020 19:35

Yep I hate it too. I’m fat, peri-menopausal and have horrific hayfever and I’m really not enjoying the weather! All these people in their gardens sunbathing/picnicking at the park and I’m sat in my north facing living room with the ceiling fan on!

lilacbeloved · 31/05/2020 19:36

Desperate for rain! I hate the heat and it's horrific to sleep in. Yet when it's sunny I feel guilty if I don't go out and do something because everyone else is out? I dunno.

cuteglasses · 31/05/2020 19:36

Me! Can't wait for Autumn. I'm too hot and a grumpy sod.

3LittleMonkeyz · 31/05/2020 19:45

It's nearly cool enough to finally wash the dishes. I get so overheated I have to wait to wash them until it's cooler in the evening. Then after that I'm going to have a Luke warm shower and sleep under a sheet instead of a duvet. Sometimes I think I'm made faulty. I can't function at all hot. I become a bit hot mess, all frizzy hair, visible beads of sweat all over me, I become oedematous and flat footed and walk around sighing and huffing and puffing like a cross hippo.

ExpletiveDelighted · 31/05/2020 19:48

Yes, enough now, I would like a few cool days with significant rainfall now. My garden and allotment are parched, I'm tired of the heat and would like a break for a few days. I'm not one for winter particularly either but would rather summer held off till at least the end of June.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 31/05/2020 19:50

I have PLE. Some time in the sun and my body decides it's allergic to the effects.
Heat makes me feel ill.
I hate summer. I really would love to enjoy it, to get a tan without turning into a mutated lobster. I'd love to enjoy the heat. I don't though and short of a new immune system I am unlikely ever to.

namechange1619 · 31/05/2020 19:50

I don’t even have hay fever but I’m not a fan of the hot weather when not on holiday. It’s just not the same at home when you still have shit to do and it’s stifling hot 🥵

fussychica · 31/05/2020 19:52

Not me! I'll get me coat - oh wait it's so warm I don't need itGrin

Sorry for all of you who are suffering from the heat, especially those with allergies. My lawn could definitely do with some rain.

ExpletiveDelighted · 31/05/2020 19:52

The prospect of WFH instead of an office with air-con is not filling me with joy either.

Strawberrycreamsundae · 31/05/2020 19:54

I’ve got what I assume is hay fever (never had it before in my life and I’m 66 years old fgs!), and severe heart failure so hot weather makes me feel as if I am suffocating in a sauna 🙁🥴
Thankfully there’s been a breeze today, but no longer can I do much if it’s hot.

pastapestoparmesan · 31/05/2020 19:55

I hate it, and hate the way it’s always described with positive adjectives - glorious, wonderful etc. It’s like you’re not normal if you dislike it.

Kaykay066 · 31/05/2020 19:55

I’ve got prickly heat, literally covered in tiny mega itchy spots a lot on my back I can’t reach and trying not to itch the rest, and red and blotchy sneezing, eye runny mess.
Summer is not kind to me

Mangofandangoo · 31/05/2020 20:00

@superloudpoppingaction

Sounds like you need some factor 50 suncream
