Where is everyone using the toilet?

Serious question. Seen a number of Facebook friends going for days out with their family to places over an hour drive. Don't think it would be appropriate to ask on Facebook. But where are people going to use the toilet. I wouldn't mind a day out further than my local places but don't really like the idea of peeing in a bush Confused

they dont mind peeing in a bush, thats what I do on long bike rides.

Lochroy · 29/05/2020 13:22

Picnic wee in a bush is infinitely preferable to most public toilets! (But it's grim when people leave behind their tissues/wipes).

AravisTarkheena · 29/05/2020 13:26

I weed in a bush last week.

GrumpyHoonMain · 29/05/2020 13:28

I plan my trips around big supermarkets with loos that are open - can go to the loo then buy lunch afterwards

Haretodaygonetomorrow · 29/05/2020 13:28

I wondered this too but found the answer when I saw toilet roll covered in shit on a local public footpath. Angry

Legoandloldolls · 29/05/2020 13:29

Toilets was open at the beach this weekend.

But even I can go five hours or so without a wee..... after 4 births

JohnFinlaysNewTeeth · 29/05/2020 13:31

Same place they’re putting all their rubbish... on the street. Entitled tramps.

maxonebitch · 29/05/2020 13:32

I'm out in my garden so I'll just pop behind the shed

myfurloughedfriend · 29/05/2020 13:40

We live near the beach, a LOT of people have been going behind the beach huts which is grim, pissing everyone off and smelling a treat in this heat 🤢

hellohungryimmummy · 29/05/2020 13:49

Before we arrive at the destination, we drive down some rural roads and I go behind a hedge (I make sure there are no houses anywhere near).

Squidsister · 29/05/2020 13:52

It’s not only on long trips. Went for a walk to my local park and came across a big dump and a load of toilet paper near a hedge 🙁

eurochick · 29/05/2020 14:48

We are not going to day trips yet. We are sticking to fairly local walks for now.

rosie1959 · 29/05/2020 14:50

Not going on trips either but some places have opened up toilets

Cookies2523 · 29/05/2020 14:54

Some people are just disgusting. Have no respect for other people - they obviously have no self respect. Would love to see/hear their reactions if this was happening where they lived. They are the type of people who would be outraged!

Bluewavescrashing · 29/05/2020 14:54

Wee in the sea!

pinksmileysticker · 29/05/2020 15:12

Judging by the trail just by my home, just in the verges...saw several sanitary towels and used tissues.

Drivingdownthe101 · 29/05/2020 15:14

On all the trips I’ve been on the public toilets have been open. So I’ve been using them, just like I would have done pre coronavirus.

Sanch1 · 29/05/2020 15:51

I've been on a 5 hour round trip today for work and was worried I wouldnt find a loo, but service station loos were open, as were small fuel stations, starbucks etc with toilets. It wasnt a problem.

BogRollBOGOF · 29/05/2020 15:54

I do a lot of rural running and just nip off into undergrowth for a squat. I wear a washable pad for any drippage. In a quiet area it's no problem compared to the amount of irrigation provided by sheep and cows. Occasionally I've had to do more and scratch a hole with a stick and bury it. No tissues.

Hundreds of people going behind beach huts in a hot, dry spell is much more problematic.

Councils really need to open toilets in inevitably popular places or we'll be facing old school public health risks.

ToffeeYoghurt · 29/05/2020 15:57

Perhaps people have stocked up on Tena pants?

The public loos should be open. All along plenty of people have had to make essential journeys. Key workers commuting, travelling to provide care to vulnerable family or friends, emergencies

Yerroblemom1923 · 29/05/2020 16:00

Surely people can take their used sp home and dispose of them there?! How are people with IBS and Chron's etc coping? One poor woman I saw on the news wasn't eating and downing Imodium so she could go out! Shock

okiedokieme · 29/05/2020 16:00

I wait until I get home, blessed with an amazing bladder, 8 hours no problem!

tiredanddangerous · 29/05/2020 16:07

My local park has actually put a post on their Facebook page asking people not to use the bushes as a toilet. People are tramps.

Pleasenodont · 29/05/2020 16:08

Guessing they’re doing it in the sea or in a bush. Really tired of seeing photos of people at the beach now when I know they live hours away from the coast.
