Do you have a lovely summer duvet?

I need a summer duvet, I want it to be all soft and floaty like a cloud but I'd prefer it not to be feathers.
It's a duvet minefield out there, any recommendations?

I have the John Lewis mulberry silk 3-4tog one for summer

Sluj
They are definitely soft and they have a rumpled look, which I really like.
I find them cool in summer and really snuggly in winter.
They have a cool, louche David Niven vibe that I'm very keen on.

I don't use a duvet in the summer, just sheets

I had silk until I thought about the ethics of how they are made...

I have a silk filled duvet. I hate it.

It's not "cloud like "as the Breathe one from The Fine Bedding Company is.
I regret purchasing the silk filled duvet from Soak and Sleep. For me it was a total waste of money. It's flat- no bounce or softness to it.
I also had silk duvet covers but they shredded in the 40*wash, I stuck my feet through them and had to be binned after about 2 years. Sad
I miss the silk duvet covers but they are too expensive to replace. SadSad

Silk definitely heavier than wool.

I got this last year and love it. Very light and floaty

I recently got a 13.5 tog from Julian Charles and it is so light so highly recommend this make , plus it was 70% off.

I ended up getting the duvet, two bed sets, 2 pack pillows and a v pillow all for under £70.

I think it would have been over £200 full price.

  • @BigBirdsbird* cool, louche David Niven look Smile.

What a fabulous description, I get it Grin

I've got linen quilt cover set from IKEA. It was itchy the first couple of washes but the older it gets, the softer it is. It was inexpensive, so that might be why it was itchy.
I'm menopausal, would a wool duvet help? ( Although the Soak and Sleep silk duvet I have is lovely)
