I've never seen star wars, where do I start

Hello,

I've been living a lie and I've never watched star wars. I've got Disney+ but I'm a bit confused were I should start. Should I just watch the newer ones or do I need to go back to the start.

Thank you

4, 5, 6, Rogue One then The Mandalorian tv series.
You can watch 7/8/9 and Solo if you fancy, there's some good spectacle but no storyline worth speaking of.
Skip 1, 2, 3 entirely.

1,2 and 3 are awful.

4,5 and 6 are fantastic

7 and 9 are well worth watching, 8 felt too much like pointless filler for the sake of it.

Whatever order you watch them in, you'll quickly realise that you're not a true Star Wars fan unless you have at least one Star Wars film you obsessively hate & barely consider canonical (mine are Phantom Menace & Rise of Skywalker). People either really love or really hate The Last Jedi - there is literally no middle ground (I love it).

Though to be honest I partly rate SW films on the presence or absence of actors I consider to be hot...Cassian, Kylo, Revenge-of-the-Sith Anakin & Donald Glover as Lando are all banging.

I saw the original ones as a kid but DS is now making watch them all in chronological order so I understand the story. I'm on number 5. The days feel long lol

Watching rogue one just now it’s the best recent movie
I’d not bother with solo personally
