What other animations could you recommend? They tend to like ones where we can read the book and watch it too. Any other ones we might have missed?

Here We Are is on Apple TV and is a lovely adaptation of the Oliver Jeffers book.

Not quite the same style, but both the Beatrix Potter and Brambly Hedge stories have animated versions on YouTube.

Oh, and Percy the Parkeeper and Kipper the Dog.

I hate Tabby McTat, just can’t get the Rythym, and I don’t think there’s a cartoon of it? I really really hope it’s not this years Christmas offering! I’m hoping for Tiddler or the Scarecrows Wedding.

I doubt it; there are no obvious toys to sell with that one, less so than the other stories anyway.

There are often spin off book versions of Disney and Pixar movies but the books tend not to be great tbh.

Ethel and Ernest, oh my god!!! It’s so good.
Not really suitable for a small child though? I mean, it’s not really geared at kids? Very sad too.
We have the Mr Men DVD, the old one. But they have new books and tv show now too.

This years Christmas adaptation is zog the flying doctor I believe
