I don’t have the answer by the way I’m just wondering

I pluck but have never waxed. Why would you?!

MamaCoco123 · 29/04/2020 16:33

I usually get them threaded but havent since probably before christmas. Maybe even since september/october actually.

It gets to a point when they stop growing Grin

Now I sometimes just tweeze in between the two but tbh I just cant be bothered. I'm just glad they grew back after waxing them to within an inch a hairs width of their life as a teenager

Yesterdayforgotten · 29/04/2020 16:35

At one time i would be mortified when they weren't plucked (born in the 80s). Now.i feel relieved I still have a decent set as they dont grow as well when older and can be a sign of youth, I leave mine as they are now and only pluck really stray ones and perfect shape with brow pencil.

I wish I dint have to but I have hairy, unruly caveman eyebrows if I don't 😂

Whatnametomorrow10 · 29/04/2020 16:38

I have had mine waxed for many many years ...about 26 years 😳 they still grow back and currently looking awful as I need them usually doing every 3 weeks - they are thick and if left meet my hair line and the middle - not a look!! I look back at the 90s shocked how thin they are but still grow back! I can’t pluck them - to many lol

Both my girls inherited them :)

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 29/04/2020 16:40

Mine are neat and tidy all by themselves.

I pluck the odd stray one under the arch, but now they're turning grey you can hardly see them!

LittleCandle · 29/04/2020 16:42

I never bothered. I have very fair eyebrows that are almost invisible at the best of times and are now falling out because of my thyroid.

AgeLikeWine · 29/04/2020 16:43

I rarely pluck mine, Only when a big stray grey hair appears.

Do eyebrows which have been ‘over-plucked’ not grow back? Is that why I see women with painted eyebrows? I. Thought it was just a weird fashion...

madcatladyforever · 29/04/2020 16:44

Me, I had electrolysis in the 80's and they have never grown back straggly again. If I do say so they are superb eyebrows with zero work.

CoronaIsShit · 29/04/2020 16:44

I don’t as I don’t have enough to pluck after years of undiagnosed hypothyroidism and it doesn’t look like they’re going to grow anymore even with medication.

DD is early 20’s and I’d say all of her friends do though as well as colouring them in. Really don’t get the fashion of looking like you have a pair of slugs hanging over your eyes Hmm.

Sparklingbrook · 29/04/2020 16:46

All of my friends (and I) go to salons about every 6 weeks to have our eyebrows waxed and tinted.

I don't think it's the norm in my mother's circle of friends though.

JingsMahBucket · 29/04/2020 16:48

I have never once plucked or waxed my eyebrows and a majority of my close friends don't either. We just don't care/can't be bothered or have good brows genetically.

I think it's a recent thing :)

VaTeLaverLesMains · 29/04/2020 16:55

I've never asked friends about eyebrows. One woman told me she was thinking of microblading and I thought it was a type of skating..

StudentHelp · 29/04/2020 16:58

I’m 21 and only know of about 3/4 girls that don’t. I get mine waxed and tinted every 6 weeks and have done since I was 13

JanewaysBun · 29/04/2020 16:59

Over plucked here so I don't do anything except get them dyed and filled occasionally

vampirethriller · 29/04/2020 17:00

I don't now. I spent the 90s plucking them so now I draw them back in...

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 29/04/2020 17:00

I normally get mine seen to.

I am currently an honorary Gallagher brother.

I’m hoping when the salons open I will have brows that can be shaped into beautiful ones.

Killedherhusbandwhackedhim · 29/04/2020 17:12

I think I seem to be one of the small minority that do get mine done, I overplucked in the 90s early 2000s and regretted it, so I paid quite a bit of money to have mine microbladed, and I pay a top up yearly to have them touched up. I also have mine waxed and tinted in a salon and between visits will pluck stray ones myself.
Me personally, I can't not have them neat and tidy.
My mum however, has never touched hers! Absolutely personal choice.

MissCalamity · 29/04/2020 17:21

Another over plucker from the 90's here!

I usually get mine threaded and the lady always comments on how thin at the arch they are, they never seem to have grown back but now I'm giving them the opportunity to!

I'm just plucking a few strays underneath the end of my brows & hoping I don't go full on caveman by the end of this!

SpillTheTeaa · 29/04/2020 17:22

Yes I do. Even though my eyebrows are quite fair and you can't really notice that they have grown out I still have them done. Need them done now actually!

PippaPegg · 29/04/2020 17:25

Depends how your natural brows are.

Mine are a mono brow. A mono brow that extends downwards in thickness towards my eyelids.

If I didn't pluck them children would be even more scared of my face than they already are!

I think 99% of women pluck at least a few hairs. Can't imagine many women have naturally demure eyebrows.

Inconnu · 29/04/2020 17:26

I don't (I'm in my 40s) but have no idea of the percentage.

MaMisled · 29/04/2020 17:30

I dont. Im in my 50s and stopped after a nervous plucking habit as a teenager put me in hospital for a week with a serious infection behind my eye!
