I just asked someone if they meant to be that rude and I feel powerful! Will add a tinkly laugh next time.

OP posts:
Handiies · 27/04/2020 09:06

God no. They aren't funny on here most of the time.

WitchWife · 27/04/2020 09:07

And did they? Grin

I have asked if I’m being unreasonable quite a few times.

Greenteandchives · 27/04/2020 09:09

I’ve used ‘Not my circus, not my monkeys’ a few times.
I like it.

foxyknoxy30 · 27/04/2020 09:09

I have used the 'why don't you fuck off to the far side of fuck and once you get there fuck off some more' (I think that's how it goes)

foxyknoxy30 · 27/04/2020 09:09

Oh yes also the circus one

undercoveraessedai · 27/04/2020 09:10

Batshit Grin but used it before I joined MN and was surprised to find it so well ensconced here!

Pinkarsedfly · 27/04/2020 09:11

Twatbadger has entered my lexicon. It’s handy when referring to my XH.

Also FOTTFSOFAWYGTKFOUYGBHTFOA

YouAndMeAndTheDevilMakesThree · 27/04/2020 09:12

I've used WTAF instead of WTF a few times and I've used 'entitled' once

svenwhen · 27/04/2020 09:14

I've used Resting bitch face and told someone to answer her ex with just the word No, no explanations needed .... because no is a full sentence

slipperywhensparticus · 27/04/2020 09:15

I've asked someone if they were on glue Blush

LunaMay · 27/04/2020 09:16

No is a complete sentence. A few times with my mum, she is such a people pleaser and instead of just saying no to something she feels like she has to justify herself and give a life story and then ends up doing it anyway. Pisses me off when it's something i end up having to help with or if she's said yes on my behalf to something.

MogHog · 27/04/2020 09:54

I did mention the other week when a man had been called in to try and sort an issue that it must be due to his problem solving penis.

WitchWife · 27/04/2020 12:01

Omg @MogHog I'd totally forgotten that one.

I've also told friends to "leave the bastard" but only as a joke.

Oh and I've explained the concept of an "oh fuck rucksack".

Zisforstripyoss · 27/04/2020 16:48

I always use unreasonable!

managedmis · 27/04/2020 16:52

Used FIL once

She knew what I meant Shock

EdgarAllenCrow · 27/04/2020 16:56

Thing is, they're usually not MN-isms at all. They're from other sources and someone uses it on MN and then people think it came from there.

Not my circus not my monkeys is a Polish phrase for instance.

EloiseTheFirst · 27/04/2020 18:51

When talking about someone, I referred to them as a cheeky fucker. Person I said it to loved it! 😊

CloudsCanLookLikeSheep · 27/04/2020 18:59

I used ODFOD to my very rude SIL and we haven't spoken since! (this was 2 years ago - she's now my ex SIL)

Stellamboscha · 27/04/2020 19:06

Yes I told someone one to fuck of to the far side of Fuck, and then fuck off some more. Very satisfying !

Solongtoshort · 27/04/2020 19:07

Ha ha love these. I do say ODFOD a lot and as l say it so sweetly l don’t think people take me seriously.

I also say enable/entitled a lot.

The other day in work someone was telling me they were fed up and going to kick out her boyfriend. We were 2 meters apart and someone else a further 2 meters away said “he sounds like a right cocklodger anyway, your well rib of him” l nearly chocked on my egg mayo sandwich.

SpeedofaSloth · 27/04/2020 19:08

I use AIBU and IANBU all the time.

Oblomov20 · 27/04/2020 19:08

I went to a very serious complaint meeting.

I too asked the woman if she meant to be so rude.

happinessinayellowbottle · 27/04/2020 19:08

Not my circus not my monkeys is greatGrin

Puds11 · 27/04/2020 19:10

Niace as in naice ham. People just think I’m odd.

Dk20 · 27/04/2020 19:13

After reading one too many of the Coronavirus threads earlier this year...
any virus related conversation I had IRL with anybody, I would ask "what's the source of that?"
