Try Emma Holly for erotica - she does some supernatural stuff, but lots of straightforward porn

CurlsandCurves · 12/04/2020 15:34

Anything by Nigel May.

Absolutely brilliant and so much more than your average bonkbuster.

Spudina · 12/04/2020 15:39

Theres a good website of pornographic short stories called Literotica.

Mascotte · 12/04/2020 15:41

I’m n the mood for something similar. Can’t concentrate on my “proper” books

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 12/04/2020 15:42

Ah, my old boss writes them under a pseudonym (and is really successful) but I can't remember the bloody name she writes under!

bengalcat · 12/04/2020 15:42

My favourites would be Jilly Coopers Riders and Polo .

Rebecca chance-Bad Sisters

babasaclover · 12/04/2020 16:07

ChilliMayo · 12/04/2020 16:19

What's the one with the goldfish. If you know, you know.
Is it a Judith Krantz?

SambaMamba · 12/04/2020 16:21

Nah the goldfish is Lace by Shirley Conran.

MsJuniper · 12/04/2020 16:21

Flavour of the Month by Olivia Goldsmith is an old favourite of mine.

Have you read Bared to You? Like fifty shades but better

filka · 12/04/2020 16:22

I’ve done all that from pre 2000

Do you only read a book once? And remember the storyline forever? Just read again!

Standrewsschool · 12/04/2020 16:24

Bonkbuster - love it. Never heard that term before.

Ensnared - Accidental Billionaire - JS Scott - enjoyed this book (and part of a series, but I’ve only read the first one so far).

And another vote for Killy Cooper, Jackie Collins and Lace.

SambaMamba · 12/04/2020 16:56

No. Never really reread. Or rewatch

Not so much into Sexy whacking. So fifty shades doesn’t do it for me

SambaMamba · 12/04/2020 17:08

The people in doctors orders are so busy ducking each other is a miracle they are still in a job

I'm re-reading valley of the dolls. It's trash but very entertaining!

AngusThermopyle · 12/04/2020 18:23

In the late 70's I read a series of books, each by anonymous with very simple titles, I think were, Them, Him, Her and Me.
Can't remember if they were classed as erotica. They're probably very cheesey, cringy and dated by todays standards I guess but I think still available on Goodreads . I'm sure in one of them a woman was given a Greek island for her sexual favours . One of them was about a love triangle.
I was only about 12/13! They were very racy at that age. I've no idea how I managed to buy them but I did.

BurneyFanny · 12/04/2020 18:46

Valley of the Dolls is trash, but it's culturally significant trash, so read it without guilt :-)

BurneyFanny · 12/04/2020 18:47

OP have you read Forever Amber?

forrandomposts · 12/04/2020 18:48

You want Nora Roberts! Romance as much as sex and no whacking or vampires Wink

SambaMamba · 12/04/2020 18:51

No! I’ll look

Atm the female doctor is busy fucking some kind of celebrity and witnessing a Male orgy in the hospital pool.

It’s rather free and easy with reality.
