What are you doing with your life? Are you happy?? (Job, partner, hobbies, house, children, pets etc)

If you could go back in time what would you do differently? Do you feel happy to be 30 years old again?

Light thread... trying to distract myself from the awful news at the moment!

In a very un-happy relationship and missed out on the real love of my life.
If I could turn the clock back I'm not sure I would because I am now the happiest I've ever been.

I had a 9 year old who suddenly got ill and ended up on dialysis and immunosuppressants which left her very vulnerable.

I spent a couple of months living in Ronald Mcdonald house and the rest travelling between kids hospitals all the time. DD couldn't go to school so I obviously had to give up my job to look after her.

I wish I'd left her dad at the time since I had to do it all myself anyway. I did leave him a couple of years later.

It was a very dark time in my life but I'm happy to report DD is healthy now (although she will never regain normal kidney function) and I'm happily single and working in an area I love.

I'd been married to DH for a year and had 3yo DS1. DH was a postman, I was a SAHM. We were living in a flat which was nice enough in the summer but turned out to be freezing all winter. We were mostly happy, if I could go back the only big change I'd make would be not moving into a place without central heating!

I’m turning 30 next month.

I’ve been married for four years, no kids. DH and I just moved into our own home, which he inherited so we have no mortgage. I’m due to submit my masters dissertation in a couple of weeks and I have an offer for a full time PhD, starting in July.

I’m looking forward to my 30s and, pandemic aside, this seems like a cracking way to start the decade!
