Agree anyfucker.

Although TBF the definition of the high level includes high mortality rate that this does not have. So the adjustment in definition seems fair.

Most people won't die. But normal life is going to be suspended for a long time and the fallout from that will be massive and long term.

It wasn’t just the 4 nations public health

* The Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens (ACDP) is also of the opinion that COVID-19 should no longer be classified as an HCID.*

And yet still the conspiracy theorists think thinks a sinister undercurrent.

BeetrootRocks · 27/03/2020 19:10

HCID definition included high mortality rate so this virus does not meet the definition.

Nothing to do with conspiracy theories.

The damage to the economy is going to hurt people far more than covid 19. It will be interesting to see what happens in Sweden.

CaptainBrickbeard · 27/03/2020 20:25

Well, given that Birmingham airport is going to be used as a mortuary, I sort of think Covid 19 might be going to hurt just a bit tbh.

XingMing · 27/03/2020 20:26

The collateral damage inflicted on livelihoods and jobs will, I fear, be far worse than the virus. Think of all the under-capitalised small businesses that have nothing in the bank to tide them over the void, apart from this month's trade. (no fat to burn, in diet speak). No cash, no capital, and no credit.
