Starting a new thread because the old one is full, I never thought when I started it that it would a) be moved to Classics and b) help so many people.

I am indeed. Trump ill, for my sins. It helps for this important duty.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 06/08/2020 04:10

That should read Trumpvillle. 😩

username58 · 06/08/2020 04:15

Thank you 2018 that's so kind of you. I'm glad to have work to keep me distracted tbh.

Frownette no he didn't and he denied it until the end. I found it on a reddit post he made asking what he should do. Apparently the sex with her was fantastic and he felt great during and after. Tells me he wishes he'd never done it and that he wants us to work on it whatever it takes Hmm

Frownette · 06/08/2020 04:32

Don't think I'd be able to forgive him :(

But focus on yourself for now and handhold until you finish and can relax for a bit

Fifipop185 · 07/08/2020 00:24

Thanks to @HannaYeah for holding my worries a few weeks ago. We're in our 2 week annual leave period now and DH is the most chilled I've seen him since last October (when he last had a break from work).

I'm currently sitting in my rocking chair, with a cuppa with all the windows open, listening to the teen DC's and DH playing online and laughing together and it warms my heart. Bedtime was long ago, but I don't want to break up the party.

Happy to take anyone's worries for the night, they'll be gently rocked to sleep, all cosy.

HannaYeah · 07/08/2020 02:25

@Fifipop185 I’m so glad.

I’m here too and can take on any worries that need minded.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 07/08/2020 23:23

I’m here for the night watch so if anyone wants their worries minding tonight just pop them on the end of the bed and the cat will guard them while you sleep.

Dollycarton81 · 07/08/2020 23:31

Please can someone mind my anxiety. It's ruining my daily life. I can't do things or visit places I'd like to. I feel guilty and inadequate for ds who is missing out because of my overthinking and fixations

2018SoFarSoGreat · 07/08/2020 23:40

oh @Dollycarton81 I hear you. That is so hard, but the times are hard, and the worries can be real. I'm sorry they are feeling so big and scary.

For tonight, you let me and @GenuineKlatchianPottery hold on to the worries. You go and get some rest. Shut your eyes. Feel them leaving you and coming to us. That's it. Now just rest. We've both got you.

BookLovingNorthLondoner · 08/08/2020 00:28

I’ve not written on this thread before but I just feel so overwhelmed tonight.

I feel like I’m trying to do everything and not doing anything well. My business was hit by Covid and now a new supplier has been approached by a competitor of mine so what should have been a smooth transition has some stress-inducing bumps. I’m trying to juggle work and being a single-parent and am consumed by guilt because I just want to be there for my daughter. And now she’s with her dad for the weekend and she’ll have an amazing time because he gets to focus on her whilst I have to try to do umpteen things.

Plus, now she’s gone I’m so lonely. I only moved to this area a couple of years ago and between divorcing and trying to keep my head above water I have no time for me. I just don’t know when life will stop being such a slog and tonight that thought is all-consuming.

redastherose · 08/08/2020 01:07

@BookLovingNorthLondoner sorry to hear you are feeling so overwhelmed. It sounds like you are actually doing a fantastic job keeping all of your plates spinning. Is there some reason why your ex isn't taking some of the load during the week rather than having the fun weekend time? Perhaps if it's possible try and equalise the arrangement so you both do the mundane as well as the fun stuff. In the meantime, you have the weekend to yourself, you need to plan things you will enjoy. Can you organise an online drinks catch up with friends if you don't know many people locally? One of my favourite lazy day treats is to go and buy a book and a bottle of wine and some nice food that I wouldn't usually have because one of the kids wouldn't like it and I then have a relaxing bath with a face pack and bubbles or a bath bomb and drink a glass of wine while relaxing and reading with music on, then get into clean pjs and make dinner and have another glass or two while eating and watching a film (or continue with the book if I'm completely immersed). Treat yourself kindly and know that you are doing your best and this stressful time will pass.

HannaYeah · 08/08/2020 03:22

I’m here and looking out for your worries tonight too. Hope you can get some rest.

Moving down to London soon for advanced degree studies, stressed beyond belief due to costings, leaving alot of people beyond in the east Midlands but all is good, I'm doing this for my financial future.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 08/08/2020 03:32

@Fizzpopsparkle I'm so sorry you feel like this. Have you someone you can call to be with you now? Do you have a mental health team?

I can simply say I hear you, I'm here. I can hold onto your pain and worries for now until you feel stronger. It might help to just pass it all to me and you can breathe. That's all you need to do right now.

Sending you big hugs and strength.

@babydisney that's so exciting and so scary. It is really hard to be so brave.

For now, let me hold that fear and worry. It can snuggle up here with me. You just try to sleep. Rest. That's it. Just snuggle up and feel the lightness now that I've got that load. It's OK.

Great ages, aren't they? Lovely your little guy has a big sister. Nice to have your own built in arguer. Have they figured out that they can join forces and argue with mum yet?

They are still at that innocent age where every day is a new delight. All that they have to learn and discover. How marvelous they have each other. And a great mum who loves them.

Think of their little faces when they wake up in the morning. That sleepy smell and morning snuggles. I so miss that now mine are grown.

Ok. It's time to make a phone call and talk with someone who you feel comfortable with. Or perhaps the Samaritans? Just to talk. That's what you need.

I wish I could be of help but I'm far away and at work just now. I am sending you strength. And hugs. And wishes to find someone who you can really with tonight.

I will look for you tomorrow. I will be right here.
