Starting a new thread because the old one is full, I never thought when I started it that it would a) be moved to Classics and b) help so many people.

Thank you genuine, please take care of worries for final move tomorrow.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 16/07/2020 00:28

I hope everything goes smoothly for you @Frownette. In the meantime you get some sleep and I’ll keep hold of your problems for you.

Moussemum · 16/07/2020 01:34

I can’t sleep.i gave birth during Covid and I have to go back to work soon.It is too late to extend my maternity and I am not ready to go back.i don’t want to leave my baby.im so upset and recently started ADs which aren’t helping.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 16/07/2020 02:47

@Moussemum sorry you are struggling. That is hard.

For now, I can take that worry and fear and keep it company tonight. You just rest. It's okay, for now you just leave it with me. Sleep well.

Kpo58 · 16/07/2020 02:48

I've just got back from A&E with DS. He has somehow managed to get Croup in the middle of summer. Confused

Emmmie · 16/07/2020 03:28

Just turned 40 in May, and discovered I am expecting. I am so worried about the baby’s well being due to my age. I am unable to enjoy my pregnancy as much as I would like to. 🥺

HannaYeah · 16/07/2020 03:45

@Kpo58 I’ve got you and your little one. Hope you both can rest.

@Emmmie when are you due? Don’t worry; we are so much healthier now than years ago. 40 isn’t as old as it used to be. I’ll keep you and your growing baby in my worries so you can just enjoy this time.

Cherrybakewellard · 16/07/2020 04:07

Today I got a call to say my shear show moderate cell chants and I need further tests ASAP. I've just dreamt about attending my own funeral. My head is all over the place.

Emmmie · 16/07/2020 04:19

HannaYeah thank you for your kind words. I will try and relax as much as possible. I am due late February/early March.

CanWeComeIntoTheOutNow · 16/07/2020 04:33

Woke up diet too a horrifically violent dream. Now lying on the sofa with the cat pondering a recent situation with my boyfriend and whether it was something I can live with or not. Considering he is in every other way delightful and they many would see those as fairly minor it is causing me some fairly deep introspection

2018SoFarSoGreat · 16/07/2020 04:47

@Cherrybakewellard and @CanWeComeIntoTheOutNow you can go rest now. Let these worries come my way I shall tuck then up here on the couch, with my kitty and warm blanket.

You just rest. I've got you.

HannaYeah · 16/07/2020 07:37

Woke up sick in the night. Glad I did, as a family member was trying to reach me. She has had some strange/scary stuff happening at her house.

Tonight there were banging noises which later she realized may have been kids playing a prank. I was on the phone with her when some lights randomly went off. It’s all got her so rattled that even explainable things are scary.

She’s normally not easily scared. She ended up waking her kids and going to a relatives house for the night.

It’s middle of the night still. Can someone hold on to my worries for her? I’m so far away all I could do was listen and try to soothe her.

Frownette · 16/07/2020 09:27

@HannaYeah I'll hold them.

It's easy to get frightened when things like that happen

Greyblueeyes · 17/07/2020 04:19

I'm here @HannaYeah I'll hold them for you.

Greyblueeyes · 17/07/2020 04:27

And @Frownette and @2018sSoFarSoGreat, thank you for responding the other night. I was having a tough day, and I appreciate you listening.

I'll be up for a while, so I'm here to mind worries for anyone who needs it.

Greyblueeyes · 17/07/2020 04:29

Ugh! I think I tagged you wrong @2018sSoFarSoGreat, thank you for minding my worries a few nights ago.

Claireshep · 17/07/2020 06:35

this thread is amazing.

HannaYeah · 17/07/2020 09:00

@Frownette @Greyblueeyes thank you! Really appreciate you both.

@Claireshep This is one of the best things I’ve ever seen on the internet.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 17/07/2020 22:49

@Claireshep it is indeed. And it is more amazing in that, if you believe, it works. Totally.

I feel that it is such an honor being a Worry Guardian. I take it very seriously, like I do my job. Don't hesitate to just post, and one (or more) of us will hold onto your worries so that you don't have to.

Frownette · 17/07/2020 22:59

I did wonder if there was a psychological aspect to it.

I'm not worrying tonight, too tired to!

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 17/07/2020 23:50

Another worry guardian signing in for the night watch. Along with the furry terror that graciously allows me to share my bed with him.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 18/07/2020 00:02

Can I leave my worries here for a while too please?

Waiting on scan results, routine scan post cancer treatment but my anxiety is sky high and I just need to feel a bit lighter for a while x

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 18/07/2020 00:05

@LyraSilvertongueBelacqua
Pop them at the end of the bed, I’ll take care of them while you sleep. The cat will sit guard for you.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 18/07/2020 00:10

Thank you Thanks

AutumnLeavesSeptember · 18/07/2020 00:22

I'm probably being ridiculous but I found out today my friends organised drinks without inviting me. I know they are free to do what they want but I'm worried they don't like me and I can't get to sleep. I feel a bit hurt.
