First world problem I know but I went out this morning to get some cash for the nail bar that don’t take card and not one single one out of about 15 I tried in the area had any.
I’m in zone 1 central London so not anywhere remote!

Our village chippy is cash only, so that's where my weekly tenner goes.

If the pandemic becomes problematic, there may not be enough card machine technicians (and parts, transport, post etc) to keep all card machines working.

So, yes, cash may become useful - even if it is thought to be coated in coronavirus. 🤔😷

I’m too cool for cash. Never had a bank network issue that’s prevented me using my card or Apple Pay. It’s so much simpler, I got to the till hold up my phone and done. Rather than digging in my bag to get out my purse then handing back and forth payment and change. The last time I had actual cash on me was possibly November.

Oh also if I ever get mugged they’ll get next you nothing.

"bank networks fail (happens about once a month)"
I've had a debit and credit card for 25 years and can count on the fingers of one hand the times the system hasn't worked when I've needed it to!

@Unusualsuspicion I can think of twice in the last 20 years and it’s never been my bank. Once a month is excessive.
