What can I watch with DS, 16, on Netflix that we'll both enjoy ? Would be very grateful for a steer. He's hard to reach at the moment and I need something we can do together.

TIA for any suggestions

Not Netflix but I player, how about Sherlock? They are all on there from the first series

My teenage dd enjoyed 60 days in, it’s quite addictive watching. A documentary series filmed in American prisons where they put ‘spys’ into the prisons.

Teacaketotty · 28/02/2020 17:15

Ozark is great!

whatsleep · 28/02/2020 17:15

Orphan black is also very good although a few mild sex scenes which might make uncomfortable viewing for your son!

PuppyMonkey · 28/02/2020 17:18

Has he seen Breaking Bad?

StiltonVanDeKamp · 28/02/2020 17:20

Stranger things
Breaking Bad

Wordofwarning · 28/02/2020 17:21

Bad education!

SinglePringle · 28/02/2020 17:21

Sex Education. Wouldn’t make you both die at all Grin

BarkandCheese · 28/02/2020 17:21

Locke and Key is a contemporary fantasy series aimed at teens, DD and I enjoyed it but it does have a fair few plot holes.

Brooklyn 99 is something we’ve enjoyed too. It’s a sitcom set in a NY police station. If you ever saw Scrubs it’s in a similar vein.

Nailed It is fun if you just want to switch your brain off and laugh. It’s basically just people baking very badly.

SinglePringle · 28/02/2020 17:22

Seriously - Weeds is very very funny.

Grembolina · 28/02/2020 17:23

We have done Stranger things and The Stranger.

We also did the entire Marvel series of films.

Its tough when they are teens isn't it, keeping that bond.

PlanDeRaccordement · 28/02/2020 17:24

Sex Education- teen humour
Breaking Bad- drama/crime
Altered Carbon- science fiction/adventure

ParadiseLaundry · 28/02/2020 17:27

Another vote for Locke and Key and Stranger Things. Also Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

cheesycrisps · 28/02/2020 17:28

If you want funny Brooklyn 99 or Big Bang Theory are good. DS loves them.

He's currently watching People Just do Nothing and Man like Mobeen

doadeer · 28/02/2020 17:29

Altered carbon is sci fi in a world where you trade in your body called a sleeve but keep your mind. It has a few sex scenes if you can get over that it's really good.

Lucifer is fun - cop style drama

The good place - comedy about the afterlife

The witcher - is based on a computer game (based on a book) fantasy style. Again has some sex scenes.

Sabrina - a re-imagining of the teenage witch. Targeted at teens. It's pretty good 👍

ScreamingBeans · 28/02/2020 17:30

Narcos
Narcos Mexico
The IT crowd

TheFallenMadonna · 28/02/2020 17:30

My 16yo is enjoying the IT Crowd and we are enjoying re-watching.

userabcname · 28/02/2020 17:31

Stranger Things is fantastic! I'm hooked!

PuppyMonkey · 28/02/2020 17:32

Bessiebigpants · 28/02/2020 17:33

Raised by Wolves on 4 catch up is hilarious and a bit inappropriate so perfect for teen bonding Mine have just started hunted on amazon and it's a hot too

HollowTalk · 28/02/2020 17:33

What sort of things does he like? Drama? Documentaries? Comedy? Crime?

doadeer · 28/02/2020 17:33

Bloody hell, don’t tell a 16 year old to watch stuff with sex scenes with his mum. Cringe.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sorry! So many TV shows have sex scenes it's hard to avoid! Or maybe just the things I watch lol
