I hear nothing from my community care work and am concerned

We had an email today from HR informing us of how many people have contacted it. I have also been asked to go out and buy supplies of antibacterial spray and wipes for desks and door handles.

captainprincess · 26/02/2020 20:15

Over up to date to be honest but NHS so 🤷🏼‍♀️

nicslackey · 26/02/2020 20:20

I have cut and pasted this from a now closed thread!
Got DWP guidance today so feeling very reassured (not) You are not allowed to wear masks, The likelihood of contracting Covid 19 from a colleague is very low as it requires close and extended contact, WTAF?
Staff who are sick will have sick leave applied as normal. Customers who do not attend appointments in public offices from fear of contamination will not be excused which of course means sanctioned. The caring face of our tory government. Work for DFC, so advice from the mainland is all we have had so far.

onemorerose · 26/02/2020 20:24

Yes but also still expecting us to fly to work meetings.

Ylvamoon · 26/02/2020 20:27

Yep, but the majority of employees are in a health care setting...

EnidBlyton · 26/02/2020 20:29

Quartz2208 · 26/02/2020 20:31

Yep but I work for the other side of Reuters!

JhustJenny · 26/02/2020 20:31

We’re a charity so no responsibility for health care delivery/education/transport or anything important really. I reckon we could feasibly do without most of our staff in the office for a few weeks. Things would have to wait 🤷‍♀️

Bluetrews25 · 26/02/2020 20:46

Yes, but it is NHS, large hospital, part of a very big trust. Usually an email daily.

managedmis · 26/02/2020 20:47

Yup, but we're HSE

IceColdCat · 26/02/2020 20:48

Yes. I work for a university so I suppose some of the students will have visited China since the outbreak.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2020 20:50

I'm self employed. dhs work is sending out regular travel advice. He said that he was speaking to two colleagues on the phone who are having to work from home because they are in a high risk area.

He is traveling next week. I'll send him with a couple of masks in case they are required for traveling home by the time he gets home. It did get me wondering - what if they locked down our town like they have in Italy and he wasn't allowed home. Confused

Nicknacky · 26/02/2020 20:50

I think there is something on our intranet but I haven’t had the chance to read it yet.

Bouledeneige · 26/02/2020 20:51

Yes we get regularly updated info.

Fishcakey · 26/02/2020 20:52

Hasn't been mentioned!

Snorkelface · 26/02/2020 20:53

Some masks arrived today (one step up from decorators masks). They're meant to be for project use but disappeared under a directors desk. That's management sorted then.

chesterfuckingdrorrs · 26/02/2020 20:55

We've had one email think it was around 3 weeks ago confirming no uk cases so no need for alarm just wash your hands regularly. I work for the police.

DonnaDarko · 26/02/2020 20:58

Nope. But we all work remotely so there's no need for regular updates!

VivaLeBeaver · 26/02/2020 20:58

Yes, daily emails. Posters everywhere, updated frequently and in Chinese and English. Am in uk but have a high proportion of Chinese students.

Nicknacky · 26/02/2020 20:59

chester Im police too.

NerdyBird · 26/02/2020 21:06

We had an update today - we have a lot of people who travel for business so they do need to make sure guidance is followed.

Lou0390 · 26/02/2020 21:06

Not a thing and I work in a health care setting, great.

Maybe83 · 26/02/2020 21:08
