Anyone else just use hands?

Blush

To Shower and bath etc?

I don't use a flannel or vile nylon, netty thing or any form of spongy, wipey type shower adornment.

I pour some shower gel on my hands.... and wash my bod with them?

Am I on my own?

It's gripping stuff eh? Grin

Just hands and bar of soap here!

Ginfordinner · 15/02/2020 22:22

I use soap, not shower gel. I don't need a flannel with soap.

NatureWalk · 15/02/2020 22:23

Me too. I dont want a bacteria infested sponge!

I only use my hands to wash in the shower. I have no need for cloths or scrubs. My DH and DDs (both in their 20s ) just use their hands to.

CherryPavlova · 15/02/2020 22:24

Yes, just hands and a bar of soap unless I’ve overdosed on sin and need to exfoliate.

CherryPavlova · 15/02/2020 22:25

That is sun not sin!

SouthWestmom · 15/02/2020 22:26

Love the idea of scrubbing yourself clean of sin. Very medieval

CointreauVersial · 15/02/2020 22:30

Ooh no, i like those netty things, to get a proper foam up. I do replace them regularly, though.

WorraLiberty · 15/02/2020 22:31

CherryPavlova I'm laughing my head off here Grin Grin

I had visions of you desperately scrubbing away your sins. I wondered what the hell you'd be up to!

glenhaggis · 15/02/2020 22:31

Just hands here too.

flooooomp · 15/02/2020 22:32

I use just hands, because I use bars of soap.

If I use shower gel then a flannel makes it go much further and is more economical.

PineappleCocktail · 15/02/2020 22:32

I just use my hands, I pondered buying a net thing yesterday but it occurred to me that it was a waste of money to buy a horrible plastic bacteria gatherer.

Craftycorvid · 15/02/2020 22:35

Ok, my mind went somewhere else entirely there.... to a place where I replied along the lines of ‘well, saves on batteries and it’s quieter.’ Blush

MarthasGinYard · 15/02/2020 22:35

I'm so glad I'm not alone Smile

Hands usually. Every few of weeks I use a Moroccan scrub mitt to rid my skin of all the minging dead and dried bits.

lol, I thought exactly that when I saw the flannel thread. Yes just hands for body and face. No flannels here Grin

BillywilliamV · 15/02/2020 22:38

My hands, but only if I can’t get anyone else’s!

tabletray · 15/02/2020 22:39

Just hands here. I remember years ago when I stayed over at a friends (I was about 14/15) and I was going for a shower so her mum gave me towels and a flannel and I asked her what it was for Blush

IOYOYO · 15/02/2020 22:39

Clean flannel daily for face. Hands for body.

hotcrossbun4321 · 15/02/2020 22:39

Flannel - dead easy and hygienic. Use it to wash my face the day before then dry on the heated rail. New one each day - just gets chucked in with the weekly towel wash. Hands alone don't make me feel clean enough but then I'm prone to 'glowing'

overnightangel · 15/02/2020 22:42

Having seen the thread title I was relieved to see this wasn’t about wiping yer arse Confused

Deadringer · 15/02/2020 22:44

Yes just hands and soap here too.

JorisBonson · 15/02/2020 22:49

Hands for everywhere but my back where I use a loofah back scrubber thing (I suffer from back acne and have very short arms).

BonnieSeptember · 15/02/2020 22:49

My boyfriend used to use his hands to wash and always complained of itchy, dry skin despite trying various moisturising shower gels/body washes.

Bought him his first shower puff and changed his life. I get what people say about them being unclean, however if you thoroughly rinse them of suds and hang them with space to dry and air out they stay clean. Then just replace regularly!

If I go away and don't take one with me I don't feel like I've properly cleaned myself in the shower.

I am, however, trying to be more eco conscious this year... So any suggestions for a more eco solution appreciated 😁
