where have I put my passport

I have a filing cabinet with hanging files and an entire folder called Passport. It's not hanging out there.

I've sifted through the inevitable pile of paperwork to sort later. It's not lurking there.

The last time I may have had it was when I was going to get a will last November during Wills Month. I might have put it in a bag but I never went as something urgent came up, so I don't think it left the house. Checked bags and no sign of it.

I am pretty stumped. Its only a 2 bed flat. All I can think of is going through every room piece by piece.

Where would you look for a lost passport?

With all your gcse certificates?

I was about to call my Dad for ideas, but I knew this would also involve, you know, what have I told you etc.

So I did what everyone does and turned to Google.

I kid not, there is an entire blog on how to find your passport.

I must post the link.

My favourite point was: the passport is not lost, you are. It's probably right where you left it. You just need to think where that was.

This gave me a renewed burst and I went back to the pockets, back to the places where I thought I had it last and...it was down the side of the bed! Happy Days Smile

Congratulations!

Glad you found it.

If you were my ds, it would be in the bag you left on the train, 3 days before you were due to go abroad for the first time. You'd've had to Tweet the train company to locate it as it takes 3 days for lost property to be logged, and you'd've been replied to by the wonderful train guard who'd found it and handed it in.
You'd also have had your bag examined by the local police as you'd been thick enough to have cannabis, papers and a grinder in there aswell.

But you are not a dumbass like ds1, obviously.
