What blusher do you use?

I probably spend less that 30 quid a year on make up as I wear very little, but I do like a bit of blusher on my pale cheeks. I recently bought a solid powder one (Rimmel, so only a cheapie) but it has gone very quickly because every time you put the brush over it, clouds of the powder fall to the floor. My bathroom floor was pink! I bought a different make (another cheap one from Tesco) and had exactly the same problem. It's not a problem I've had before with blusher powder. I have now bought some creamy rub on ones, but prefer the powder. Can anyone recommend a really good blusher that stays on the brush and is in a decent size container (powder compact size)? I don't mind spending a bit more for something that won't end up all over the floor.

For me, benefit have the best selection of blushers and they are very long lasting. I would go to a counter and try some out.

Toomuchtooyoung01 · 24/01/2020 12:44

Benefit, I think its called Rockstar or something like that!

Happygirl79 · 24/01/2020 12:45

Use a cream blusher instead

I need a new blusher
and have been looking at YouTube vids and I think nars orgasm looks lovely. Might invest.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 24/01/2020 12:51

Benefit Dandelion and Clinque sunset glow blush.

NauseousNancy · 24/01/2020 12:53

I use nars orgasm (powder type one) or benefit dandelion as my usual day to day ones.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 24/01/2020 13:01

I have a bourjois one I'm fond of.

almostfreeatlast · 24/01/2020 13:02

Benefit are lovely and bourjois for a cheapie.

I had Nars orgasm but it was the glitter one and too glittery for day to day wear.

snotthatfurrry · 24/01/2020 13:03

Bobbi Brown cream blusher

Dontlikeoranges · 24/01/2020 13:05

Bourjois are fab and I've tried so many over the years. No fallout like you mention and the pots are super cute and the brushes included are actually decent if you need to use them.

almondfinger · 24/01/2020 13:19

Nars orgasm here. (Just make sure you get that original not the sparklyone). I wear make up every day and this lasts a year. My friend bought me a Nars blusher palette for Christmas that is fantastic. It has 6 colours so I sweep the brush across whatever I'm feeling like. pinks, oranges, browns on any given day. With Nars a little goes a very long way. I'too am pale.

Cocolapew · 24/01/2020 13:20

Max Factor

Sherloidbaisherloid · 24/01/2020 13:23

Nars orgasm or Dior rosy glow. Both lovely colour and long lasting

xsarax · 24/01/2020 13:23

Makeup revolution do fab blushers and blush palettes and they are cheap

Dora26 · 24/01/2020 13:23

Max Factor here also - works well with Bare Minerals

BohoBunney · 24/01/2020 13:32

I have a nyx one and it is SUPER pigmented so I only need to lightly dab the brush onto it once for both cheeks. It's barley used and I've had it about a year.

Howmanysleepsnow · 24/01/2020 13:32

Benefit.

BirdieFriendReturns · 24/01/2020 13:38

Dior Backstage Glow

longearedbat · 24/01/2020 13:53

Thanks. Some of these sound hopeful.

Can 100% reccomend Benefit Dandelion. Very easy to wear, hard to go wrong. Delicate pale pink.

troppibambini · 24/01/2020 14:26

Another nars orgasm here too.

chesterfuckingdrorrs · 24/01/2020 14:38

Nars Bumpy ride or Orgasm

Benefit blushers are also fab. Decent size so last forever. I think I have every shade, coralista and dandelion are my 2 favourites.

Mac also do really good blushers, with very little fall out.

I've also got a few from Primark which are surprisingly good quality and very cheap.

I'd also look at your brush, is it very stiff? A soft fluffy brush is best and won't break up the product causing a lot of fall out.

onthisoccasion · 24/01/2020 14:38

An excellent tip I was given by a Bobbi Brown make up artist is to gently roll your blusher brush on the top of the powder, and not to swish the tips in it - that way you don't loosen more than you need or get excess on the brush. I use a No.7 bronzer as my every day blusher and also have a MAC powder blusher which has lasted an eternity.

SistersOfPercy · 24/01/2020 14:41

An ancient Emo Days eyeshadow. Urban Decay - Gash. I've always loved the colour and fortunately had a stockpile of it as they stopped making that shade a few years ago but as a blusher it works on me.
