What's the scariest dream you've ever had? I'm speachless!

I just had a nap with DS, something I haven't done in many months. I really needed it as was feeling really tired.

I dreamt of a terrorist attack. It made no sense at all, I remember telling DH in the dream that this was all very sudden since I wasn't aware we were in dispute with anyone or had upset/pissed off another country

It was bombs, there were these plans type things in the sky and they were dropping random bombs. I could see them come out of the plane. One was very close and the impact of it did hit me but it wasn't fatal.

Each bomb seemed to be getting closer and closer, then I woke up. It was incredibly real and I've never felt so shaken, I was literally fearful for my life and I remember being very 'aware' of my feelings in the dream. It's still haunting me now - And I'm aware it really is just a dream.

What's the scariest thing you've ever dreamt, that had stayed with you?

Creepiest dream was one about someone trying to break in. Panic, but then I woke up. Felt someone sit on the end of my bed, opened my eyes and it was the intruder! THEN I woke up. Realistically I'm sure I must have dreamt the first waking up and it was still the dream, but if felt so real I couldn't get back to sleep again that night.

I routinely have dreams where I'm trapped, or in a too-small space, or trying to get somewhere under time pressure and not managing to get there. I dislike all of these.

However, woven into last night's dream was 31st January 2020 (Brexit day); DH and I were out in town at 11pm and people were grinning all over their faces, then threatening violence when they saw my evident gloom. He then got into a fight with loads of them in a clothes shop and the dream ended with me tending to his wounds and gazing at him adoringly. Now THAT was weird Grin

I have a recurring dream that is just an image of a HUGE spider really close to my face, with a jolt of such incredible fear that it wakes me up screaming instantly. I'm pretty severely arachnophobic anyway but these dream spiders are on another level entirely.

I’ve had several dreams about planes falling out of the sky. I see them take off from a distance but they never “level” out and It looks like they lose power and just fall.

I see the explosion, flames etc and try to reach the scene so I can try and help any survivors but never ever seem to be able to get there.

I dream every night and had crazy dreams like running from gremlins (as in like the film with gizmo), about to be eaten by a tiger, etc...

I have a happy life btw ... no idea why I dream like this!! lol

I've had many exploding aircraft ones but that's because I witnessed it as a young child, definitely makes me understand ptsd.

I have a lot of scary dreams, but one that bothered me for ages afterwards was dreaming my grandma had died by hanging and I found her hanging from the ceiling in my mums room and she was all green and peeling. It was terrifying. Another similar one was finding a line of body bags and my mum was in one of them, dead and she suddenly sat up and stared at me. I woke up screaming from that one.

I have dreams where something happens to someone in my family. I then wake up at 2am wondering whether to phone that person because it was so real and upsetting
