Just watched this & think I may need to stop consuming milk.
I love milk 😢

What do you reckon?

I stopped drinking cow titty juice two years ago. Oatly oat milk for me. It's delicious. Give it a go op.

SunbeamsOverhead · 19/01/2020 19:31

I do like nut milks.
But not in my tea 😔
I always drink organic milk as it's supposed to be better (i.e. no puss)
But am I just kidding myself?

I never take much notice of propaganda films like that.

lavenderlove · 19/01/2020 20:07

Oatly barista is amazing in tea and coffee! There's only me who's vegan in my house but we only buy oatly barista as everyone prefers it to cows milk

Stinkyeddie · 19/01/2020 20:10

But it curdles :(

Sparrowlegs248 · 19/01/2020 20:13
Hmm
slipperywhensparticus · 19/01/2020 20:14

I cant drink fake milk makes me ill 🤷‍♀️

StuntCroissant · 19/01/2020 20:16

@Stinkyeddie try the "barista" versions (oat, soya, almond), they don't curdle!

ElderAve · 19/01/2020 20:17

Tea is far superior black, once you get used to it anyway.

I found it hard to get used to initially but even after only a week or two, it wasn't pleasant if I drank one with milk someone made by mistake

Stinkyeddie · 19/01/2020 20:17

Thank you!

Breathmiller · 19/01/2020 20:26

I also find Oatly is the best rhing for hot drinks as it doesnt curdle. I get the semi one as its not ao creamy. But I only have it coffee which I don't drink very often.

I switched to green tea years ago and have it without milk. I have tried various flavours but prefer either plain green tea or my main tea is Jasmine Green. I think it is much more thirst quenching.

I also like semi oat milk in cereal.

Oatly cream is nice too as a thick cream.

I tend to use unsweetened soya milk in cooking.

Breathmiller · 19/01/2020 20:27

Excuse typos

rockingchaircandle · 19/01/2020 20:44

It's horrific. I've just given up animal products. Rooibos tea is easy to get used to tea without milk!

SunbeamsOverhead · 19/01/2020 23:11

Agreed it IS horrific.
@Instagrump I don't watch propaganda as you call it usually either. But this is true. It's what we do to cows 🤷🏻‍♀️

Will try barista. Thanks for the suggestions Smile

Oat milk is very popular around these parts. Good on you, op.

pooboobsleeprepeat · 19/01/2020 23:44

It baffles me why people like a splash of pus juice in their tea!

SunbeamsOverhead · 20/01/2020 00:00

🙈

Smellbellina · 20/01/2020 00:04

Yes give it up, but don’t replace it with a substitute nut/rice milk, just give up ‘milk’

MaJoady · 20/01/2020 00:06

Your choice if you want to give up dairy. But make sure you research the effect of whichever alternative you choose. Eg almond milk is horrendous for the environment. Don't know about any others, but I think soy probably isn't great either.

As for calling cow's milk pus and suchlike, by the same measure, surely oat milk is just "nut pus"?

JKScot4 · 20/01/2020 00:07

If you’re ok with male calves being killed at birth or females dragged away from their mum so you can get milk then charge on 😡

SunbeamsOverhead · 20/01/2020 00:08

Dont be silly @MaJoady theres no puss in nuts 🙄

OP posts:
SunbeamsOverhead · 20/01/2020 00:11

@Smellbellina having been veggie for over 20 tears, I am very used to dairy being quite a large part of my diet... it's easy to say "just give it up". But having alternatives to help me do that is a good way forward. I feel.

MaJoady · 20/01/2020 00:11

@SunbeamsOverhead, exactly, I was referring to *pooboobsleeprepeat's post... Cow's milk isn't pus either Hmm

SunbeamsOverhead · 20/01/2020 00:12

@JKScot4 hmmm yes that's kind of the point here.
