Poppets for me!

OP posts:
Disfordarkchocolate · 14/01/2020 20:39

I'd forgotten about floral gums and scented satins. And Lion's sports mixture from a box so they are nice and hard. Happy days.

funkylittleboatrace · 14/01/2020 20:40

Jazzies the white ones oh and white chocolate mice and chocolate covered bananas 🍌. I want sweets now ☹️

welliesarefuntowear · 14/01/2020 20:47

Yorkshire mixtures. I buy them quite often and everyone at work perks up when I offer them round.

vampirethriller · 14/01/2020 21:14

Star bar
Violet or rose creams
Mango Nurishment drink
Halva (carrot preferably)
Floral gums
Rainbow crystals

vampirethriller · 14/01/2020 21:15

Jazzies are best sprinkled over a bowl of hot custard.

stuffingball · 15/01/2020 19:56

This thread has made me buy a toffee crisp today for the first time in probably 8 years or so. It wasn't what I remembered Sad

Does anyone remember Drifters? They were amazing

confusednorthner · 15/01/2020 20:03

I'm sure you can still get drifters....raspberry mushrooms 🍄

Fifthtimelucky · 15/01/2020 21:04

Dried bananas (brown sticky ones not chips)
Condensed milk and/or dulce de leche (eaten straight from the tin/jar)
Lardy cake (though I haven't eaten this for years)
Daim bars

SapphireSeptember · 15/01/2020 21:31

Mint ruffles. I've always wondered what mint flavoured coconut ice would taste like, they are delicious. The raspberry ones are also nice.

Mint crumbles, Poundland ones are the best, they're kind of damp, very minty and I love them.

Haribo wine gums and jelly babies (I love the pineapple and apple flavoured ones.)

Shrimps and bananas, they have to be hard though.

Sweetarts and bottle caps (the big ones are the best.)

Refreshers (the hard ones) giant Fizzers, Love Hearts and giant Parma Violets.

Fangtastics.

Turkish delight. Julian Graves used to do the nicest I've ever tasted, I haven't found another I like as much. Also they did peppermint flavour which was lovely.

Peppermint rock and candy canes (nice big ones.)

MumGoneCrazy · 15/01/2020 21:33

Chocolate raisins
Fudge bar
Gummy bears
Midget gems

These are my go to sweet treats.

BumpkinSpiceBatty · 15/01/2020 21:38

Chocolate spread and peanut butter sandwiched between two hobnobs or digestive biscuits.... Yum!

Chocolatemice · 15/01/2020 21:43

To feel really naughty... Kendal Mint cake. Why is it pure sugar? Is it in case anyone gets trapped on a mountain and needs to survive for days in a snow cave?

loutypips · 15/01/2020 21:43

Churros. Not the crappy ones over here, but the lovely ones in Spain. Or porras, which are like a bigger version.

Egghead68 · 15/01/2020 21:59

Marshmallow fluff

Sweetooth92 · 15/01/2020 22:09

Double deckers

Proper cinder toffee

Hadenoughofitall441 · 15/01/2020 22:27

Cola pips 😂

Spieluhr · 15/01/2020 22:29

Empire Biscuits
Pineapple tarts
Raspberry tarts

Blownaway22 · 15/01/2020 22:35

Milk Teeth but they must be Barretts!

TheChosenTwo · 15/01/2020 22:38

These. They are strangely medicinal in flavour but so weirdly addictive!

AlCalavicci · 15/01/2020 22:42

AGnu · 15/01/2020 22:48

Black Jacks
Pontefract cakes
Aniseed balls

FruityWidow · 15/01/2020 22:52

@Chocolatemice that's exactly what Kendal mint cake is for 😂

drigon · 15/01/2020 22:54

Oh god, love Sports Mixture, insanely addictive!

ringletsandtwiglets · 15/01/2020 23:03

Proper strawberry lances, with a hole in the middle and ridges on the outside.
Liquorice comfits/ torpedos
Sherbet Fountain (in paper, though..)

Another call for condensed milk here too. And a new one that I bought for Mr Twiglets but keep stealing a spoon from, Gu chocolate and salted caramel spread.
