You can keep your egg custards. I’ll raise you a Portuguese ‘nata.

Light flakey pastry, gently cupping thick, sweet, creamy vanilla custard.

Chocolatemice · 14/01/2020 16:59

Arabic milk sweets. Don’t know what they are actually called and they take forever to eat.

AlCalavicci · 14/01/2020 17:06

A Danish cinnamon swirl pastry pastry for me.

Pinkarsedfly · 14/01/2020 17:08

Oh yes jelly tots!
Those biscuits that have jammy type jelly and coconut sprinkled on top - I can't remember the name!!

Grumpbum123 · 14/01/2020 17:37

Star bar straight out of the fridge

ItsNovemberNotChristmas · 14/01/2020 17:39

Those pink 'chocolate' pig things...yummy

OneTooManyBathtimes · 14/01/2020 17:42

Peach rings, are they rare enough?

I've also recently found out that I like the chocolate in Primark. 1.30 for a bar but it was so good.

Frys orange or mint bars. Mmmmmm

MontanaSky · 14/01/2020 17:48

Toffee bon bons - especially bought from an old fashioned sweet shop
Sherbet fountain

Mumajoy · 14/01/2020 17:49

Tana433 · 14/01/2020 17:50

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 14/01/2020 17:50

Violet creams. Love love love them.
And sugared almonds.

HardAsSnails · 14/01/2020 17:51

Toffifee

Weaverspin · 14/01/2020 17:53

Sainbury's milk bottles chewy sweets. I don't like them from any other supplier! These ones are nice and dry, and covered in cornflour.

ChangeInTime · 14/01/2020 17:55

Edinburgh Rock. Especially the ginger version.

cheesewitheverything · 14/01/2020 18:03

A bar of chocolate with just the right balance of chocolate % in it (not too high to make it dark choc, but just enough to make it properly chocolatey). Whenever I think I have found just the right one, I then manage to forget where I bought it and what make it was so have to start all over again.

cheesewitheverything · 14/01/2020 18:04

Also, I love Turkish delight, the proper sort.

Egghead68 · 14/01/2020 18:05

Halva

SpinjitzuMaster · 14/01/2020 18:06

@BarkandCheese are you me?

Also a fan of @Weaverspin milk bottles. Our local penny sweet shop does the same ones.

Mint humbug pillows, the golden ones shaped like sun lollies

gatekeeper · 14/01/2020 18:07

liquorish Catherine wheels
Refresher chews
drumstick lollies
milk chews
swizzell lollies
the chunky milk chocolate in Ikea with broken up daim bar in it

yum!

SpinjitzuMaster · 14/01/2020 18:10

Also greek delight (loukoumi) but the mastiha variety.

I had some amazing sweets in Iraqi Kurdistan - the lovechild of halva and Turkish delight. They were sold in big logs and i was gutted when the two boxes i bought were finished Sad

gatekeeper · 14/01/2020 18:11

haven't seen them for years and years but loved liquorice bootlaces..We used to call them 'Spanish' and all sweets like them (and whitemice etc) was known as ket/kets i.e ... 'Gor any kets?'

I'd rather have stuff like that than expensive chocolates
