Is it possible for someone to tell you have looked at their Facebook page?

Just that.

Can you tell if someone has been stalking your Facebook?

No. You could pop up on their ‘people you may know’ though.

olivertwistwantsmore · 12/01/2020 19:02

Are you sure? Thanks.

Jamhandprints · 12/01/2020 19:06

I think the "people you may know" are people who may have looked on the profile.

WireBrushAndDettolMaam · 12/01/2020 19:07

Depends who you were stalking. Zuckerberg could probably find out if he wanted to Grin

MiseryChops · 12/01/2020 19:45

Nope. No way for them to find out.

olivertwistwantsmore · 12/01/2020 19:47

Am not stalking Mark Zuckerberg! Am fairly sure that the people who come up on my ' people you might know' list would never look at my FB account... 🤔

Fatted · 12/01/2020 19:49

It appears on people you may know.

Fatted · 12/01/2020 19:49

Whose Facebook are you stalking?!

No.

The 'people you may know' thing is a myth.

bigchris · 12/01/2020 19:53

It doesn't appear on people you may know if you havent got any mutual friends

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 12/01/2020 19:53

“People you may know” also tends to be friends of friends or people who belong to the same network groups.

That's what I thought, but I recently;t had someone who I work with, but have no contact outside of work, so no phone numbers, email addresses, mutual groups and so on. There she was. The only explanation was nosing around on her side.

bigchris · 12/01/2020 19:54

Zuckerman is wise to the ways of us stalkers, he knows where his bread and butter is Smile

bigchris · 12/01/2020 19:55

Or zuckerberg Grin

bigchris · 12/01/2020 19:56

One of my friends husbands went into the search box of her Facebook and found out she regularly searches up her ex before she married him though Shock

Noshowlomo · 12/01/2020 19:57

I bloody hope not 🙈🙈

JoanieCash · 12/01/2020 19:57

I think being logged into same WiFi networks might trigger it. My husband has never met our cleaner, not got her details etc, but I gave her our WiFi code. She also doesn’t know his name and he’s got a different surname (although I suppose could have snooped at post). He got a ‘people you might know’ thing about her. It was a bit weird.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 12/01/2020 19:59

Actually, I had three people from work, forgot about the other two.

olivertwistwantsmore · 12/01/2020 21:54

Hm, ok then. All very odd.

OP posts:
Mustbetimeforachange · 12/01/2020 21:58

It can be on location. If your phone is in the same place as their phone it will suggest you.

memberofseven · 12/01/2020 21:59

Does anyone actually look at the people you may know list? Mine has about 300 people in it.....

gamerchick · 12/01/2020 22:00

You could always block them, then you won't show up anywhere.

WeeM · 12/01/2020 22:01

I was also going to say about the locations too-if your phone has been in the same place as someone else, you could appear in the ‘people you may know’ even if they haven’t searched you/looked at your profile.

hatfullofmallow · 12/01/2020 22:08

@bigchris doesn't everyone look up their exes now and again? 😄

StCharlotte · 12/01/2020 22:10

That's what I thought, but I recently;t had someone who I work with, but have no contact outside of work, so no phone numbers, email addresses, mutual groups and so on. There she was.

This has happened to me. It was someone who had interviewed me. No other links at all. She later confirmed she had looked me up.
