Are Snag tights worth the hype?

Need some new tights and have always have problems getting the right ones as I like them to be high-waisted and also dont like a baggy crotch/having to pull them up every 2 seconds.

Seen so many adverts for snag tights, but are they worth it?

Yes they are great. Mine go in the washing machine I am in no way careful with them. I bought three pairs a year ago. I still have two. One pair died at Christmas as they got a hole under the foot. They were still ok to wear for a few weeks after the hole started as they don't run and it took a while for the hole to grow to the point it was annoying

One word...yes!

Hazybobs · 11/01/2020 07:34

I hate tights but had these recommended so tried a pair. They were no different really to how I remember tights being so I’m not back to my trusted M&S and Trasparenze stockings. If one ladders, I simply replace that one, getting probably twice as much use out of them as I do from a pair of tights.

VivaLeBeaver · 11/01/2020 07:51

I have a pair of snag tights in my drawer of M&S tights. I could not tell you which ones are the snag ones. Which tells you all you need to know I guess.

VivaLeBeaver · 11/01/2020 07:52

I mean I like them, but I like my M&S ones. None of my tights fall down or sag.

Cat0115 · 11/01/2020 08:07

They are worth it. Excellent customer service too. One pair went through at the toe after 1st wear so I emailed Cs. They sent me 2 fresh pairs by return post and didn't ask for the old ones back.

If you are a slim apple shape, no bum but a mum tum What type do you get? I am not curvey or athletic

EnjoyyourBrexit · 11/01/2020 08:14

I bought 3 pairs and all laddered the same day. Total waste of money.

I don't think they were any more comfortable than the ones I usually buy from Sainsbury's and they definitely weren't better quality. V disappointed.

Nishky · 11/01/2020 08:18

Mine fit beautifully and I was so happy until I took them off and my toe had gone through. Bit pricey for one days wear

ArfArfBarf · 11/01/2020 08:24

Mine also laddered first wear. I think the social media marketing department is much more effective than the manufacturing department Wink

BadgeronaMoped · 11/01/2020 08:24

Bought some to see me through pregnancy, they've worn really well and also comfortably pull up above my bump.
I did find the sizing a little confusing but read through their info carefully and had a tape measure handy.

Icantfind · 11/01/2020 11:34

Got some 100 denier M&S shaper ones and so far fab. No movement and come right up to my bra. £6. Lovely and thick.

Hoghgyni · 11/01/2020 11:41

I'm a Snag convert, with black, grey, burgundy, purple, green & navy pairs. The only issue I have is that my black short pair do tend to crawl down my legs, which surprised me as i'm only 5 feet tall. I now wear dresses all the time.

Aridane · 15/02/2020 17:57

The name puts me off.
Why call them Snag if the whole idea is that they don't?!

They were just ok for me, but I think that’s because I’m between sizes. Bought one size going by the chart but they were too big and went baggy at the ankle, I think they were too long. So I emailed them and asked them and they suggested the next size down but they are just a smidge too small and aren’t overly comfy.

IndecentFeminist · 15/02/2020 18:03

I struggle with tights normally and have long legs and a fairly large stomach. If I can stretch them up enough to get above my tummy they don't end up very opaque. Often they're not genuinely long enough so end up falling down at the crotch. I love snags however, I wear the upper end of the size recommended and they are truly opaque and stay where they should. Cosy and comfy. I don't have the funky colours, I have a few black pairs, some grey and green.

If you are a standard size you probably don't need to divert from standard shops as much.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 15/02/2020 18:04

I have 6 pairs now. I think they are great

TableDesk · 28/09/2020 11:34

Just wondering does anyone have a code for snag tights?
I'm going to give them a go before I totally retire my skirts & dresses in the winter Sad (have 3 in my baskets so already have the 10% off but still quite expensive)

Thanks

MulticolourMophead · 28/09/2020 11:35

Stockings and suspender belt. Always avoids a saggy bum, tights falling down, wrinkled legs, etc.

TableDesk · 28/09/2020 11:40

I honestly don't think I know anyone who wears stockings & suspenders for normal day attire Shock

I automatically think bedroom attire - maybe that's just my dirty mind Grin

MulticolourMophead · 28/09/2020 11:43

There's still quite a few people who stockings every day. I certainly do, in winter anyway. Get the right products and you get decent everyday comfort.
