Are Snag tights worth the hype?

Need some new tights and have always have problems getting the right ones as I like them to be high-waisted and also dont like a baggy crotch/having to pull them up every 2 seconds.

Seen so many adverts for snag tights, but are they worth it?

I tried to order some, order went through but heard nothing. Emailed them after 8 days and was told that they are really busy and can’t give me an estimated dispatch date. I cancelled and got a refund but shocking service!

I’ve had a few pairs before and thought they were ok, and worth the £5 price that there were on offer at but I need tights now (I laddered all but one pair over Xmas)not when they can get their act together.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 10/01/2020 18:08

Yes, well worth the hype IMO. If you are borderline between sizes according to their chart then go down a size rather than up, they are very stretchy.

Pumpkintopf · 10/01/2020 18:09

Yes bought the tick opaques and they are fab.

OhMsBeliever · 10/01/2020 18:15

OMG yes!

I hate tights with a passion. So I spend my life in jeans and ignore any skirts or dresses when I can.

I bought a pair of Snag tights cynically thinking they'd be just the same as every other pair of tights I've ever owned. Falling down at the crotch, giving me the thigh rub I was trying to avoid.

No, not at all. They stayed up, they were so comfortable I didn't rush to take them off as soon as I got home.

I think I've worn skirts more in the past month than in the previous few years!

I will be buying more when I have money.

I know I sound like an advert but I have nothing to do with them, just kept seeing their advert on Facebook!

GinisLife · 10/01/2020 18:19

Their finest denier are too thick for me and the colour was a bit too American Tan. I like the Primark glossy ones.

AppleKatie · 10/01/2020 18:20

Yes, they are good, they stay up and last well.

They aren’t perfect mind, still tights but infinitely more wearable than most.

Peachypips78 · 10/01/2020 18:21

Oh my days they are so worth it. They DO snag though- the name is misleading. But they are so comfy and stretchy and amazing. I hate tights but I have barely worn jeans since I got some.

BarbedBloom · 10/01/2020 18:22

Yes, I would never go back. Have black and mustard yellow, might get some burgundy

Joloh · 10/01/2020 18:23

I found them sort of, you know, fine, for comfort but flimsy. Not game changers for me. I think I'm the wrong size/shape for them (very hourglassy, short little legs, long back).

ProseccoSupernova · 10/01/2020 18:23

Marks and Spencer body shaper per una tights are the best I have found... waist goes up to the band on my bra! Not very attractive but warm and comfy!! Grin

Imicola · 10/01/2020 18:24

Nope, I didn't think they were worth it. I prefer heist tights, even though they are much more expensive.

AnotherEmma · 10/01/2020 18:26

Not perfect but much better than any other tights I've worn. I'm in between sizes so that's probably a factor in my less than 100% enthusiasm!

SauvignonBlanche · 10/01/2020 18:31

I love the tights but not the way they go at the toes at the first wear.
I swapped to 80 denier from 50 and they last a bit longer.

hotcrossbun4321 · 10/01/2020 18:37

I've been researching them and laddering seems to be a common problem. Any other plus sized ladies found a good alternative that isn't £££? M&S x-large just fall down for me

MAFIL · 10/01/2020 18:52

I bought some just before Christmas after a recommendation on here and so far I am fairly impressed but not totally blown away. I bought D size according to their size chart and they are a bit big. I think C would probably have fitted me better. But quality is good and they are comfy. I only got black so cant comment on the colours. I will probably buy more but will go down a size.

RidgedPerfection · 10/01/2020 18:55

I love them, wear them a lot for work and have never had a laddering issue.

SunbeamsOverhead · 10/01/2020 18:57

Yes!

Gizlotsmum · 10/01/2020 18:58

Waiting to pick up my order, it was attempted to be delivered this week (I think) so will come back and feed back once I have tried them

confusedandemployed · 10/01/2020 19:00

Like @Bombaybunty, they're very comfy but too long. I need to haul them up fairly regularly. Tbh I also prefer "suck you in" tights, so I probably won't buy any more.

justbeingelle · 10/01/2020 19:04

Definitely worth it, 100%. I bought 3 x pairs over a year ago, wear them for work on a weekly basis and only just had to replace them because there were a few bits, like where a ring caught on them for example, but they never laddered iyswim.

Wanderingraspberry · 10/01/2020 19:11

Yes. Game changer for me. I've now got 5 pairs and have been wearing them for over a Year. No ladders here and they are actually comfy!

yellowsun · 10/01/2020 19:13

I’ve got 34” legs and a big tummy and they fit really well. I’ve got 80 denier which don’t feel as thick as M&S ones. I wouldn’t try the 50s as I’d be worried about ladders. The only issue is that I stupidly washed them with something with Velcro and so one pair has a fluffy bit near the top.

Has anyone tried the merino ones? They are out of stock but are returning apparently. The size guide recommends that I have an F but with the normal tights I’ve found an E better. I just wondered if anyone had noticed a difference in sizing.

HermioneWeasley · 10/01/2020 19:18

Yes! Life changing

audweb · 10/01/2020 19:19

Yes! I hate tights. I literally haven’t stopped wearing them since i got my pair. Ordered more because I have never been so comfortable in them. Also bought the short tights for wearing under dresses, wore them in the Middle East where it was warm and felt so comfy.

leccybill · 10/01/2020 19:25

The name puts me off.
Why call them Snag if the whole idea is that they don't?!
