I'm a bit stuck in a rut about what to feed my not particularly fussy 21 month old who is an exceptionally slow eater and more of a grazer. Although will polish off a full evening meal if in the mood/it's her favourite! So indulge me, what are your toddler's eating today?

Mine

Breakfast
Banana
Seeded toast, butter & honey

Lunch
Cheese on toast (this is what she has nearly every day, as it's quick and reliable!)
Cherry tomatoes
Apple
Mini cheddars

Snack will be 1 pancake with peanut butter, maybe a few raisins, and blueberries

Tea will be homemade fish pie, peas and sweetcorn.

Today DD had Weetabix and a yogurt, chips and some chicken nuggets for lunch (leftover from yesterday's fish and chip dinner), a satsuma and we're having lamb keema matar curry with rice for dinner. Sunday is always pretty rubbish for food as its the ending of the shopping week Smile

3 rice crispies and a breath of fresh air is a usual days diet (only slightly exaggerated there). I'm always amazed by the amount and variety that some children eat. Oh well, mine are cheap to run and certainly not lacking energy.

I was thinking of starting one of these.

DS 2.5 has eaten;

B: bowl of dry cereal, mix of bran flakes, malted wheats, blueberry wheats and frosties. 3 cheese crackers
Cup of milk.

S: some pretzels.

L: cheese, cucumber and red pepper, 1 1/2eggs. Ignored his jacket potato.

S: more pretzels (he fell asleep so I used them to keep him awake.

T: turkey, 1 X roast potato, carrots and half his peas.

Breakfast 1- cereal
Breakfast 2 - fruit and crumpets or bagel
Lunch 1 - peanut butter sandwich
Afternoon snack - fruit / vegetable crudités
Dinner - nuggets and chips and pease or pizza and salad
Pudding - sometimes nothing, sometimes yoghurt, sometimes jelly, sometimes fruit

If with grandparents then he eats loads of things that he never would with me but also a ton of chocolate and sugary food that I wouldn’t normally let him unless for treat

My toddler (18 months) has eaten today:

Half a bowl of Weetabix, a banana

A packet of Ella's kitchen lentil crisp things and two bites of apple, he then acted like the apple was human faeces and my offering it to him was a deliberate act of aggression

Roast new potatoes and cucumber; he rejected the quiche and tomatoes that accompanied this

Some of my red velvet cake (more than I thought he should have, less than he thought he should have!)

Half a slice of toast with peanut butter

A satsuma

Vegetable biryani - he ate all the sweet potato and paneer, and most of the rice, but carefully picked out all the green beans and cauliflower and shook his head at them until I removed them from his plate

Yoghurt

That's a fairly standard day for us, though what exactly is in and what's out changes constantly. My impression is that's a fairly normal level of toddler fussiness?

Recently turned 2 year old age yesterday:

B-porridge (made with 5oz milk) and cup of milk

L-toast and scrambled egg (made with 2 eggs, didn’t eat it all) banana

D-2 chicken fingers, 1 veg finger, mashed potato, mixed baked beans and hid some peas in, fruit pot

Snacks-4 mini apple rice cakes, pack of Pom bears. Big cup of milk before bed with vitamins added. Water all day.

I’m really struggling getting fruit into him, he’s going through a fussy stage. He also doesn’t like yoghurt or cheese, I have to hide cheese in food. Also funny about meat texture too.

Yesterday 2 year old ate-

B-porridge (made with 5oz milk) and cup of milk

L-potato, mixed baked beans with cheese grated in. Banana.

D-wouldn’t eat any pasta bake or fruit pot.

Supper (as hadn’t eaten any dinner)-toast with butter, 1 weetabix.

Snacks-pack of veg straws, 2 biscuits Hmm, fruit smoothie. Water to drink.

Once again another fussy day of eating. He hasn’t been well though and has been off his food.
