Just curious. We always have bubble and squeak with left over Turkey and roast ham. I wondered how common that is. I thought everyone had that but maybe not.

We had turkey, ham and mushroom pasta and garlic bread

dementedpixie · 27/12/2019 14:30

We've never had bubble and squeak with leftovers

ExpletiveFairylighted · 27/12/2019 14:31

We visit family where we have another roast. All out leftovers go in the freezer but we try not to make too much as none of us are all that keen on them.

kittykatkitty · 27/12/2019 14:33

We have turkey sandwiches, cheeses, ham, pate and any other leftovers

TeenPlusTwenties · 27/12/2019 14:45

Reheated turkey in a casserole dish. Left over veg. Croquette potatoes. Best meal of the year. Had it again today. Smile

theneverendinglaundry · 27/12/2019 14:50

Crusty rolls filled with leftover turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. Superb dipped in gravy.

nikkylou · 27/12/2019 15:07

Had family over, so did nibbles with party food and turkey wraps.
The main use we have for left over turkey, is a curry which is in the slow cooker now for tonight.

Dreamersandwishers · 27/12/2019 15:14

Bacon rolls for lunch ; chicken risotto for tea ( no Turkey here 🤮)

Dreamersandwishers · 27/12/2019 15:15

Oh and lots of leftover dessert

justdoityourself · 27/12/2019 15:15

Mince pies, cake, leftover cheese, chocolate. I will be addressing my diet failings when I've eaten all the cake.

tobee · 27/12/2019 15:19

Baked gammon, coleslaw, baked potatoes and pickles

Shockers · 27/12/2019 15:19

Bubble and squeak with poached eggs.

KatherineJaneway · 27/12/2019 15:20

Christmas dinner but with beef instead of turkey.

Peoplearemiserable · 27/12/2019 15:22

I love bubble and squeak so we always have that then a buffet in the evening. The following day I make turkey curry!

herbsmokedchicken · 27/12/2019 15:30

I just plate myself up leftovers, zap them and have another roast. Did the same today and then I’ll use the last little bit of turkey in a soup tonight.

OceanSunFish · 27/12/2019 15:33

Lunch - jacket potatoes, ham, veg
Supper - leftovers (turkey sandwiches, pate, cheese)

Eminybob · 27/12/2019 16:02

We had bubble and squeak for brunch and a baked Camembert and cheese/pate/smoked salmon on crackers. Dh had a turkey sandwich.
DS1 had nuggets and chips and ds2 had a baby ready meal as I wanted zero effort.

Mustbetimeforachange · 27/12/2019 16:04

Sandwiches for lunch & bubble & squeak with turkey, ham etc in the evening. We all love it more than Christmas lunch. 27th is turkey soup

Wheelerdeeler · 27/12/2019 16:06

Reheated christmas dinner. Even nicer on the 2nd day

turkeyontheplate · 27/12/2019 16:09

We always have a big fry-up for Boxing Day breakfast, with bubble and squeak as part of it.

Then we have an evening buffet with a joint of roast pork, cold meats/pates/cheeses, crackers, bread, pickles, olves, salad etc

Ihatemyseleffordoingthis · 27/12/2019 16:12

Cold roast potatoes for breakfast. Food of the gods.
After Eights
Leftovers with Yorkshire puddings
The Xmas pudding we didn't get round to cooking and had no stomach capacity left for on Xmas day

Turkey pie for the meateaters today, 27ths

Tigger001 · 27/12/2019 16:24

Another christmas dinner and lots of cake and chocolates.

happypotamus · 27/12/2019 17:18

I had toast for breakfast, then went to work (in a hospital) where we had tons of cakes and chocolate and some crisps that patients' families had given us and people had brought in, so I had a break at about 4pm and ate pringles, a mince pie and some biscuits, then I got home at 9.30pm and ate one of those party platters of olives, cheese and chorizo (not the whole thing). We don't have a set traditional Boxing Day meal. If we are at my parents' house, there is a fry-up brunch and then left overs from the buffet tea the previous day. My MIL will do another roast dinner, which always seems excessive to me.

onlyconnect · 27/12/2019 18:10

So not much bubble and squeak then!

Leftover Christmas meat (sometimes turkey sometimes beef), ham, bubble and squeak (totally thought everyone did this!) cheeses, pickles and crusty bread
