When do you get the Christmas chocolates/ sweets out? And which ones do you have?

I was going to do it yesterday but there was a lot of birthday cake about and none of us needed anymore chocolate. Next weekend we are away so maybe the 23rd would be a good time? That way they'll last. I've got Quality Street (a childhood favourite-they smell of Christmas-even if they aren't as nice now), some M&S ones in a tub and some heroes in a tub. There's after 8s, M&S peppermint creams and sticks and cherry liqueurs, chocolate biscuits and matchmakers. Oh and some Montezumas buttons and possible some chocolonely. I've been stashing for some time Grin

I've not tried any of the M&S ones before so I'm hoping they are nice. I find the thought of chocolates better than the actual chocolate these days as it's all gone downhill so much. Maybe I'll just sniff the quality street instead of eating them and admire the shiny wrappers.

Can't get through our chocolates. End up being given away.l. Dd already has about 15 tubs and boxes from work , she is not a huge chocolate lover.
Another batch will come in from friends and relatives.
They won't get eaten.

Well we broke into chocolates (tub x2) and chocolate oranges (x4) over November. I restocked and we now won't touch them until Christmas eve as we don't get paid again before Christmas.

No one buys us any at all and no one visits except my mum. I go through chocolate phases but if bored and they are there I will eat them Blush so they won't go to waste. With brexit looming I'll keep some back for treats in darker times. Universal credit is coming my way next month too so some chocolate will be very welcome. It will perk up the diet of various vegetable soups and pasta dishes Grin

I'm getting the chocolates out on Friday. I've decided that as it's the start of the school holidays then that is when the treats begin. I'm planning a Christmas film, cracking open the knock off baileys and snuggling with the children. It's been a long term full of virus after virus in the first half and appalling weather in the second half so I'm very much looking forward to no more school homes in the biting wind and rain.
