I'm poorly with a stomach bug and in bed but I'm really hungry. I can't decide what I fancy though! Tell me your go to food that always makes you feel better when you're ill...

Rich tea biscuits, buttered toast when you feel up to it, add marmite if you can face it.

Just getting over the same and have been existing on the above for a few days now

I've been ill with a virus this weekend. No sickness but lots of flu symptoms and not much appetite- throat is too sore to eat much anyway.

After not really having anything all day, except for a crumpet for breakfast, DH made me chicken soup and two slices of buttered toast at 4pm. It was the most delicious food I've ever tasted.

I ate the lot and then went straight to bed. Got a couple of hours sleep and felt a bit more human again.

Chicken soup and very buttery crumpets for dipping in it.
My mum used to give me that when I was a kid and it's just kind of stuck as my go-to 'poorly' food.

When I'm ill I live off just plain chicken nuggets that you put in the oven. Only thing I can stomach if I feel sick. If I've got a bad cold/flu then it's soup alongside the chicken nuggets Grin

Bananas or grapes - lots of sugar but not too acidic so perfect for a sore stomach!
Lemonade ice lollies - similar, sweet and hydrating
Avgolemono soup - made with chicken broth, lemon, eggs and rice.
