Weird teenage crushes (that you may still hold a candle for)

I am watching Jaws while putting up my Christmas tree (because of course).

Remembering my almighty teenage crush on Richard Dreyfuss specifically as Matt Hooper. I first saw this movie when I was about 16 so 1999. I’m convinced it’s influenced my lifelong penchant for smartass, slightly nebbish men, boat shoes and oilskin jackets.
Would anybody else like to share their odd teenage crush (who still set their heart aflutter)?

Sunshineandshowers21, my ds(6) is also jaws mad, we have had to watch all of them and The Megladon several times. I blame the Baby Shark craze 😁

My first crush was Angelina Jolie, I use to think she was beautiful. I guess I was a picky teenager when it came to men but I remember watching something that had Ryan Phillippe in it and he might of caught my eye.

The beardy one in Jaws, Magnum PI and Kenny Everett here. Also John Craven and Julian from the Famous Five. I was a strange child.

Robert Sean Leonard from Dead Poets Society. I had a massive crush on him, he was just exactly my type.

I had a one night stand with a guy who looked so like him (many years ago, when I was a student) - it was uncanny.

Booksaremyonlyfriends - I met Simon Groom once, and stroked Goldie! His parents' farm wasn't too far from our village.

Wil Wheaton when he was young, pretty and nice. Feels a bit worrying now, but I know its my teenage self speaking.

Talk of Simon Groom reminded me I also had a crush on Peter Duncan.

Fantastic film though. The SS Indianapolis monologue is possibly the greatest in TV history
